[더마닐라 호텔] 100년 넘은 필리핀 더마닐라호텔에서 룸서비스로 한식 불고기 먹어본 후기

오늘은 필리핀 마닐라에 위치한  '더 마닐라 호텔' 에 다녀온 경험을 기록합니다. 

100년 넘은 오래된 5성급 호텔이라고 하는데, 오래되었다고 전혀 구식처럼 보이지 않고 고풍스러움이 느껴졌어요. 
이렇게 오랫동안 고급스럽게 유지해온 호텔 관리법이 정말 궁금해지더라구요.

Today, I will share my experience at "The Manila Hotel" located in Manila, Philippines.

It is an over 100-year-old, 5-star hotel, but it doesn't look outdated at all; instead, it exudes a sense of elegance.

I became really curious about how they've managed to maintain such a high level of luxury for so long.

 

 

크리스마스 시즌때 방문했던 더마닐라호텔 로비 모습이에요.
입이 떡~~ 벌어지는 화려한 크리스마스 장식이 돋보이는 곳이었어요. 

특히 천장에 매달려 있는 저 거대한 샹들리에가 정말 멋진 곳이랍니다. 

샹들리에 무게가 어마어마해 보이는데... 심지어 한개도 아니고 여러개가 100년도 넘은 로비 천장에 매달려 있는게 정말 신기했습니다. 

 

Here is a glimpse of the lobby at The Manila Hotel during the Christmas season.

The stunning Christmas decorations were truly jaw-dropping.

The massive chandelier hanging from the ceiling was particularly impressive.

The weight of the chandelier looked immense, and it was fascinating to see not just one, but several of them hanging from the ceiling of a lobby that is over 100 years old.

 

 

더 마닐라 호텔 룸서비스에 '한식 메뉴'가 있어요. 

해외 호텔에서 룸서비스로 먹는 한식이 궁금해서 시켜보았습니다.

불고기 메뉴를 주문했는데 상추쌈, 김치, 미역국, 밥 이렇게 같이 나옵니다.

불고기가 아주 달달한 맛이었어요. 동남아는 대체로 달콤한 걸 좋아하는 거 같애요.
스프라이트나 콜라를 사서 먹어보면 다른 나라에서 먹는것 보다 동남아에서 먹는게 더 달아요.
예전에 아틀란타에서 코카콜라박물관에 갔었는데, 그곳에서 전세계 탄산음료를 시음해 볼 수 있어요.
그때 여러 지역의 탄산음료를 시음해 보고 동남아지역 탄산음료가 더 달게 출시되어 수출된다는 걸 알게 되었습니다. 
옆에 과일접시는 방안에 놓여있던 웰컴푸르트에요. 아기자기 귀여운 초콜릿도 상자에 담겨 있었답니다.

The Manila Hotel offers a 'Korean cuisine menu' through room service.

I was curious about having Korean food as room service in a foreign hotel, so I ordered it.

I chose the bulgogi menu, which came with lettuce wraps, kimchi, seaweed soup, and rice.

The bulgogi was very sweet. It seems that people in Southeast Asia generally prefer sweeter flavors.

If you buy Sprite or Coke here, they taste sweeter compared to other countries. I once visited the Coca-Cola Museum in Atlanta, where you can taste carbonated drinks from around the world. That's when I learned that soft drinks in Southeast Asia are produced and exported with a sweeter taste.

The fruit plate next to the meal was the welcome fruit placed in my room, and there were also some cute chocolates in a box.
