[크라운플라자 쿠지 비치] IHG 다이아몬드 업그레이드 후기, 호주 바다 수영장

이번에는 시드니 숙소 5번째 !!
눈사람호텔리뷰가 '크라운플라자 쿠지 비치 호텔'에 다녀온 경험을 기록합니다. 
 

Fifth accommodation in Sydney!

Snowman Hotel Review visited the 'Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach Hotel', and here is the experience recorded.
 

 
처음 도착한 호텔 로비는 전체적인 회색,베이지톤에 블루 컬러로 포인트를 준 모습이었어요. 
개인적으로 가장 좋아하는 컬러조합이  '에토프 컬러와 스카이 베이지 톤'인데, 그야말로 완전~~ 취향 저격 호텔 인테리어였어요. 
 
The lobby of the hotel I first arrived at had an overall grayish color scheme with beige tones, accented by blue colors. Personally, my favorite color combination is "taupe and sky beige tones," so the hotel interior was totally my taste.
 

 
호텔 방문했던 시기가 1월이라서 아직 크리스마스 장식이 남아있는 상태였어요. 
그런데 빨간색, 초록색 장식 컬러가 아닌,  하늘색 크리스마스 트리를 보니까 색달랐어요. 
창의적인 발상으로 제 편견을 깨는 계기가 되었습니다. 하늘색 크리스마스 트리도 제법 멋있다고 느껴졌어요. 
그리고 로비 한쪽에는 물과 웰컴과일이 놓여있었습니다. 
 
During my visit to the hotel in January, I noticed that Christmas decorations were still up. However, what caught my attention was a sky blue Christmas tree, rather than the typical red and green ones. It was a creative touch that challenged my preconceptions. I found the sky blue Christmas tree quite charming. Additionally, there was water and welcome fruits arranged in one corner of the lobby.
 

 

 
체크인 하고 방으로 들어왔습니다.
IHG 다이아몬드 등급이라 바다전망 객실로 룸을 업그레이드 해 줬어요. 
구글 후기 읽어보니까  업그레이드 하면 이 곳 바다전망 코너뷰를 많이 준다고 하네요...
발코니에서 호텔 수영장과 쿠지비치까지 한눈에 보였습니다. 
 
I checked in and entered my room.
As an IHG Diamond member, I received an upgrade to a room with a sea view. I read on Google reviews that this hotel often provides this corner view when upgrading...
From the balcony, I could see the hotel's swimming pool and Coogee Beach at a glance.
 

 
단점은 코너룸이라서 바로 옆 객실 발코니가 가까이 보여요.
수영복이나 옷을 갈아입을 때 혹은 잠 잘때는 항상 커튼을 닫아놔야 했습니다. 
발코니에서 바다 바라볼 때, 옆 객실에서 사람이 나온다면?! 대화가 가능할 것처럼 보였어요.  
 
However, the downside was that it was a corner room, so the balcony of the adjacent room was quite close. I always had to close the curtains when changing clothes or sleeping.
When looking out at the sea from the balcony, it was possible to have a conversation with people from the neighboring room if they were outside.
 

 
환영의 의미로 샴페인과 초콜릿을 줬어요!! 
와... 지금까지 시드니호텔 이용 중 웰컴 기프트가 역대급이에요. 
 
They welcomed us with champagne and chocolates!
Wow... Among all the hotels I've stayed at in Sydney, this welcome gift was on another level.
 

 
화장실은 욕조도 있고.. 나름 괜찮았어요. 
 
The bathroom was quite nice, with a bathtub and all.
 

 
파란색 생수 2병 무료였고 미니냉장고와 차, 커피가 풍부하게 놓여있었어요. 
그런데 이 호텔에는 슬리퍼가 없어서 챙겨와야 해요. 시드니숙소 이용 중 유일하게 슬리퍼 서비스가 없던 곳이었어요.  
 

Two complimentary bottles of blue water were provided, and there was a  mini fridge, tea and coffee. However, there were no slippers provided in this hotel, so you need to bring your own. It was the only place during my stay in Sydney where slippers were not provided.

 

 

 
그리고 주목해야 할 점 !!
크라운 플라자 호텔 바로 앞에 쿠지비치와 바다 수영장이 있어요. 
호주 바다 수영장은 해안가에 위치한 자연적인 수영장으로, 인공적으로 구조물을 형성해서 만들어진 바다 수영장이에요.
바다 수영장을 이용해 보려고 호기롭게 도전했는데.... 물이 엄청 차갑습니다.
날씨가 더우면 풍덩 뛰어들었을 텐데, 시드니 여름날씨가 선선한 여름이여서 더 춥게 느껴졌어요. 
자연적인 바다수영장은 지역 주민 뿐만 아니라 관광객에게도 정말 매력적인 곳이라고 생각합니다.
 
And one more thing to note!!
Right in front of the Crown Plaza Hotel, there's Coogee Beach and an ocean pool.
Australian ocean pools are natural swimming pools located along the coast, formed by constructing artificial structures.
I bravely decided to give it a try, but... the water was incredibly cold.
If the weather were warmer, I might have jumped right in, but since Sydney's summer weather is relatively cool, it felt even colder.
Natural ocean pools are truly appealing not only to locals but also to tourists, in my opinion.
 

 
호주에는 바다 수영장이 여러 곳이 있는데 한번 소개해 볼게요.  
 
1. 쿠지 비치 -  시드니 동쪽에 위치하며 해변가에 바다 수영장이 있습니다. (무료)
2. 와일리스 배쓰 (Wylie's Baths )- 쿠지 비치 근처에 위치하며 역사적인 바다 수영장입니다.

1. Coogee Beach - Located on the eastern side of Sydney, it features an ocean pool right by the beach.
2. Wylie's Baths - Situated near Coogee Beach, it's a historic ocean pool.

 
3. 본다이 비치-  유명한 바다 수영장인 Icebergs Club (유료)이 있습니다.
크라운플라자 쿠지 비치 호텔에서 '본다이 비치'도 가까워요. 버스타고 15분 정도 갔던 것 같애요.
본다이비치와 쿠지비치 둘다 가 본 개인적인 후기로는... 쿠지비치가 더 좋았습니다. 
 
Here, you'll find the famous ocean pool known as the Icebergs Club (fee required).
After visiting both Bondi Beach and Coogee Beach, personally, I preferred Coogee Beach.
 

 
4. Bronte Beach (브론테 비치) - 본다이 비치 근처에 위치하며 자연적인 바위 수영장이 있습니다. (무료) 
 
Bronte Beach - Located near Bondi Beach, it features natural rock pools for swimming.
 

 
다음날 호텔 조식 먹으러 갔어요. 조식 레스토랑 이름은 shutters입니다.
쿠지 비치 근처 돌아다녀보면 연식있는 숙소들이 많아 보였어요. 올드한 숙소 느낌들..
그런데 이 호텔은 최근에 리모델링을 해서 인테리어가 세련된 느낌입니다. 
 

The next day, I went to have breakfast at the hotel. The breakfast restaurant is called "Shutters."
Walking around near Coogee Beach, I noticed many older accommodations. They had a bit of an old-fashioned vibe.
However, this hotel has recently undergone remodeling, so the interior feels modern and stylish.

 

 
조식 메뉴로는 계란, 소시지, 베이컨, 해쉬브라운, 구운 토마토, 과일, 빵, 햄, 연어, 주스, 버섯, 요거트,  와플 , 샐러드 등 딱 서양식 아침식사 였어요.  일주일 넘게 서양식 아침 식사만 먹으니 솔직히 좀 물리긴 합니다. 
 
For breakfast, the menu included eggs, sausages, bacon, hash browns, grilled tomatoes, fruits, bread, ham, smoked salmon, juice, mushrooms, yogurt, waffles, salads, and other typical Western-style breakfast items. After having Western-style breakfast for over a week, it honestly became a bit bland.
 

 
호주 아보카도가 맛있기로 유명하대요. 이곳 조식에서 꼭 먹어봐야 할 음식이에요. 
아보카도를 반으로 갈라서 씨를 빼내고 그릴한 다음, 소금과 후추 곡물을 묻혀서 먹는 음식인데 여기에 꿀을 뿌려 먹으니 더 맛있었어요. 
플랫화이트 커피 주문했는데 역시나 라떼아트 해서 가져다줍니다.
호주는 커피 라떼아트에 진심인 것 같애요. 
어느 호텔이든 다들 모양내서 가져다 주네요. 서비스 퀄리티가 훌륭합니다. 
 

Avocado is famous for its delicious taste in Australia. It's a must-try dish for breakfast here.
Cut the avocado in half, remove the seed, grill it, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and drizzle honey for extra flavor.
I ordered a flat white coffee, and as expected, it came with latte art.
Australia seems to take latte art seriously, as every hotel serves coffee with intricate designs. The service quality is excellent everywhere.
