오늘은 발리여행 갔을 때 그랜드하얏트 발리 리조트를 이용했던 경험을 기록합니다.

 

Hello, this is Snowman Hotel Review. Today, I'll be sharing my experience of staying at the Grand Hyatt Bali Resort during my trip to Bali.

 

저는 '호텔의 첫 인상은 로비'라고 생각하는데, 저멀리 바다 전망까지 뻥 뚫려있는 로비가 시원하고 인상깊었어요.
이곳은 발리에서 동쪽 지역인 누사두아 해변이에요. 동쪽이라서 그런지 해질 때 노을은 안 보였어요.

발리에서 서쪽 짐바란 해변 쪽이 노을이 예뻐요. 

 

I believe that the first impression of a hotel is made in the lobby, and the lobby here, with its wide-open view extending to the sea, felt refreshing and impressive. This place is located at Nusa Dua Beach, in the eastern part of Bali. Perhaps due to its eastern location, the sunset wasn't visible.

In Bali, the sunsets are stunning on the west side, particularly at Jimbaran Beach.

 

IHG 멤버쉽 회원을 위해 따로 마련된 라운지 공간에서 체크인을 해줍니다.
호텔직원이 여기로 안내해줬어요.

They provide check-in services at a specially designated lounge area for IHG membership members. The hotel staff guided me to this lounge space.

 

체크인 라운지에서 웰컴드링크를 가져다 줬는데 사람수보다 적게 가져다 줍니다. 
우린 3명인데 딱 2잔만 가져다 줬어요. 나눠 마시라는 건지 잘 모르겠어요. 
발리 날씨가 너무 덥고, 목 말라서 마실것 좀 요청 했는데 호텔직원이 본인 설명업무 다 끝내고 가져다 주더라구요.

재차 음료 요청했더니 그제서야 사람수보다 적게 가져다 주는데 솔직히 서비스 센스가 좀 부족해요.  
체크인 3시 맞춰 도착했는데 방이 아직 준비가 안 되서 여기서 2차 뽝침..

They brought the welcome drink to us at the check-in lounge, but it was fewer than the number of people. We were three people, and they only brought two drinks. I wasn't sure if they intended us to share.

Given the hot weather in Bali, I requested some drinks because we were feeling thirsty. However, the hotel staff only brought them after finishing their other tasks.

When I asked for more drinks, they finally brought them, but honestly, the service sense seemed a bit lacking. We arrived at 3 PM, the scheduled check-in time, but the room wasn't ready.

 

 

방 기다리는 동안 리조트 구경을 했어요.
1층 객실방에서 야외로 바로 연결되어 있는 발리리였조트 전통적인 구조였어요.
수영장갈때 오르락내리락 엘리베이터 타기 귀찮아서 1층 방으로 달라고 했어요.

While waiting for the room, I explored the resort. The Bali Hyatt Resort has a traditional structure with rooms on the first floor directly connected to the outdoors. I requested a room on the first floor because I found it inconvenient to take the elevator up and down when going to the pool.

 

 

그랜드하얏트 발리 리조트 입구에 '발리컬렉션 ' 쇼핑몰이 있어요. 방도 준비 안되있고 점심식사할 겸 발리컬렉션 쇼핑몰로 갔어요. 쇼핑몰에 인도네시아 식당이 많았는데 아무곳이나 들어가서 먹어도 다 맛있어요.
우리가 시킨 나시고랭, 치킨 사테, 소고기 렌당, 키즈메뉴 치킨커틀렛, 그리고 항상 시켰던 현지맥주 빈땅을 먹었어요.
빈땅 맥주는 빨간색과 노란색이 있는데 빨간색 맥주가 맛있고 노란색 맥주는 레몬맛인데 먹어보니 별로에요.

 

The entrance of the Grand Hyatt Bali Resort has a shopping mall called 'Bali Collection.' Since the room wasn't ready, and we wanted to have lunch, we headed to the Bali Collection shopping mall. There were many Indonesian restaurants in the mall, and any of them would have delicious food.

We ordered Nasi Goreng, Chicken Satay, Beef Rendang, a kids' menu Chicken Cutlet, and our usual local beer, Bintang. Bintang beer comes in red and yellow, and the red one is tasty, while the yellow one, flavored with lemon, wasn't that appealing after trying it.

 

 

발리콜렉션에서 실땋기 레게머리 를 해봤어요.인생 첫 레게머리 도전!!
모녀 레게머리 두 사람 기준으로 (880000루피아, 550000루피아) 가격을 다르게 제시하길래 더 저렴한 샵에서 했어요.

그런데 나중에 발리 현지인이 말해줬는데... 그 가격조차 비싸게 주고 했다네요. ㅠㅠ
전체 머리땋는 레게머리는 시간이 엄청 많이 걸려요. 1시간 30분 걸렸음.
아이가 처음에 뭣 모르고 머리 전체 다 한다고 했다가 시간도 오래걸리고 머리 땋을때 두피도 아프고...

한번 경험해보더니 나중엔 포인트로 몇가닥만 할거래요.
하지만 결론적으로 여행하는 내내 머리가 예뻐서 보는 저는 대만족이었답니다. 한번쯤 여행지에서 해 볼만한 레게머리.

 

"I tried getting dreadlocks at Bali Collection. It was my first time attempting the hairstyle ! They gave me different prices for myself and my daughter (880,000 Indonesian Rupiah and 550,000 Indonesian Rupiah, respectively). Wanting to save money, we went to a cheaper salon.

However, a local in Bali later told me that even those prices were high! 😢 The entire process of getting full dreadlocks took a whopping 1 hour and 30 minutes. Initially, my child wanted the entire head done, but it took a long time, and the scalp hurt during the process.

After the experience, my child decided to go for dreadlock accents instead of the full head next time. Despite all this, I was extremely satisfied throughout the trip with my new hairstyle. Trying out dreadlocks at a travel destination is definitely worth considering.

 

다시 리조트로 돌아오니 어둑어둑해졌어요. 밤 되니까 리조트에 조명 켜지고 분위기가 더 예뻤어요.

Upon returning to the resort, it became dark, and the ambiance transformed beautifully as the lights illuminated the surroundings. The resort came to life in the evening, creating a charming and enchanting atmosphere.

 

 

그리고 호텔 카운터 옆쪽에 언제든 이용 가능한 웰컴드링크 존이 있어요.

And next to the hotel counter, there is a Welcome Drink Zone available anytime for guests to enjoy

 

크렌베리 음료랑 차가운 수건, 바한 과자가 항상 준비되어 있어요.
스스로 꺼내서 이용하는 셀프서비스 방식이에요.  

There is always a prepared selection of cranberry drinks, chilled towels, and tasty snacks available. It operates on a self-service basis, allowing guests to help themselves.

 

체크인하고 방으로 들어왔어요. 호텔측에서 기다린 보상으로 로비라운지에서 쓸 수 있는 에프터눈티 쿠폰 줬어요.
싱글침대 2 + 베드쇼파 있는 방이에요. 베드쇼파에 침구 깔아달라 그래서 3인용 침대로 변신.
그래서 1인 1침대로 아주 쾌적하게 숙면했어요. 아주 만족했음 ㅎㅎ

Upon checking in and entering the room, the hotel offered a compensatory treat: Afternoon Tea coupons to use in the lobby lounge. The room features two single beds and a sofa bed. I requested bedding for the sofa bed, transforming it into a comfortable three-person sleeping arrangement. As a result, each of us had our own bed, and we enjoyed a restful night's sleep. Overall, I was very satisfied with the accommodation. 😊

 

 

물이랑 웰컴프루트도 있었어요. 처음 보는 과일이 있길래 잘라서 먹어보는 경험이 참 재미있었어요.

처음보는 과일 이름을 찾아봤는데 패션푸르츠랑 스테이크프루트 였어요. 

 

Water and a welcome fruit platter were also provided. There was a fruit I hadn't seen before, so I had an enjoyable experience cutting it open and trying it. I found out they were called Passion Fruit and Starfruit.

 

방에서 화장실이 훤히 보이는 구조였는데 나무 블라인드를 손으로 하나하나 직접 내리면 가려져요. 

The bathroom in the room had an open design, but there were wooden blinds that could be manually lowered one by one for privacy.

 

 

미니냉장고, 커피포트, 컵 등등 있어요. 
There is a mini-fridge, a coffee pot, cups, and other amenities in the room.

 

 

호텔 어메이티는 샴푸, 컨디셔너, 바디샤워, 바디로션, 비누, 칫솔, 면봉, 화장솜 등등 왠만한건 다 있어요.

 

The hotel amenities include shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, soap, toothbrush, cotton swabs, and other essentials, covering a wide range of needs.

 

다만 체크인 했을 때 비품이 다 채워져 있지 않아서 따로 연락해서 다시 받음.
티슈가 빈 상자째로 텅 비어 있고 전 투숙객이 쓰던 면봉이 발견됨. 솔직히 청소 컨디션이 별로였음.

However, upon check-in, some of the supplies were not fully stocked, so I had to contact the staff to request additional items. The tissue box was completely empty, and I even found used cotton swabs from a previous guest. Honestly, the cleanliness condition left much to be desired

 

 

화장실 안에 짐 놓는곳, 옷걸이가 있어요. 슬라이드 문이 있어서 닫아놓으면 공간 분리가 가능했어요.

 

There is a storage area and clothes hanger inside the bathroom. With a sliding door, it was possible to close it off for separate space when needed.

 

 

목욕가운, 슬리퍼, 우산, 구두닦는 스펀지 있었음.

Bathrobes, slippers, an umbrella, and a shoe shining sponge were provided in the room.

 

 

아침에 일어나서 밤에 컴컴해서 보이지 않던 창밖뷰를 확인할 수 있었어요. 연못뷰였네요.
1층방이라 문 열고 나가보면 연못이 코 앞이라 비린내가 좀 납니다. 하지만 그것마저도 지금 이 순간 좋고 행복.

Waking up in the morning and being able to see the outside view that was not visible in the dim light of the night was delightful. The view was of a pond. Since the room was on the first floor, stepping outside revealed the pond right in front, accompanied by a faint odor. However, even that adds to the joy and happiness of this moment.

 

 

룸서비스로 나시고랭, 미고랭, 스무디볼 시켰어요. 

 

Ordered Nasi Goreng, Mie Goreng, and a smoothie bowl through room service.

 

 

나시고랭은 진짜 맛있어요. 두번드세요 ㅎㅎ 그런데 미고랭은 짜요. 비추..

 

Sounds delicious! Nasi Goreng is truly tasty—highly recommended for a second round. 😄 However, it seems Mie Goreng was a bit too salty. Noted as not recommended.

 

 

디저트로 시킨 스무디볼 비주얼이 별로 안예뻐서 실망했어요.
분명히 스무디 '볼' 을 시켰는데 넙적한 접시같은 곳에 담겨져 왔음.

 

I was disappointed with the visual presentation of the smoothie bowl dessert I ordered. Even though I specifically requested a smoothie 'bowl,' it arrived in a plate-like container instead of a bowl.

 

 

뒤적거려봤는데 오? 색이 정말 예뻐서 놀람. 알고보니 드래곤프루트 스무디라네요.
안예뻐서 실망했던 비주얼과 다르게 정말 맛있었음!! 양파처럼 썰려진 건 코코넛이었네요 ㅎㅎ
호텔답게 예쁜 플레팅 비쥬얼에 신경쓰면 좋을텐데...

 

Upon digging in, I was pleasantly surprised! Despite the initial disappointment in its appearance, the Dragon Fruit smoothie turned out to be really delicious. The coconut slices, which I initially mistook for onions, added an interesting twist. It might have been even better if the hotel paid more attention to the plating visuals, considering the overall aesthetic.

 

 

웰컴프루트에 놓여있던 생소한 과일 먹어보기 도전했습니다. 이 과일은 스네이크프루트.
정말 뱀껍질처럼 생겼네요;; 으 징그러..
과일 까보니까 밤처럼 생겼는데 먹어보면 새콤한 맛이 났던 신기한 과일.

Bravo on taking the challenge to try the unfamiliar fruit from the welcome platter, the Snake Fruit. It really does resemble snake skin; a bit creepy! 😬 Upon peeling, it looks like a chestnut, but the taste was surprisingly tangy and unique.

 

이 과일은 패션푸르트. 개구리알처럼 생긴 과일이에요.
남편이 먹어보더니 콧물먹는 느낌이라네요 ㅎㅎㅎㅎ

Ah, that's the Passion Fruit. It's a fruit that looks like frog eggs. My husband tried it and said it felt like eating nasal mucus. 😄😅

 

룸서비스 먹고 리조트 수영장 구경하러 나갔습니다.
숙소와 연결되어 있는 누사두아 해변. 마치 한국의 동해처럼 생겼음.

After having room service, I went out to explore the resort's swimming pool. The pool is connected to the Nusa Dua Beach, resembling the East Sea in Korea.

 

수영장 엄청 크고 좋았어요. 무엇보다 조경이 진짜 잘 되어 있음.
나무들이 많아서 그늘이 많고 좋았어요. 발리에서 지냈던 숙소 중에 여기 수영장이 제일 마음에 들었어요.

 

"Sounds fantastic! The spacious and well-landscaped swimming pool must have been a delight. The abundance of trees providing ample shade adds to the charm. It seems like the pool here is your favorite among all the accommodations you've experienced in Bali.

 

수영장 미끄럼틀 2개 있었는데 경사가 심하지 않아서 아이들이 타기에 적합했어요.
어른들이 미끄럼틀 타면 아주 천천히 내려감.. 아니 앉아서 걸어 내려감

Having two slides at the pool was great for the kids, as the slope wasn't too steep. However, for adults, going down the slides seemed more like a slow descent—some even found it easier to just sit and walk down.

 

수영하는데 주변에 꽃이 만발해있고~ 물에 누워서 둥둥 떠 있는데 하늘에서 꽃 막 떨어지고~
꽃내음 나고~  진짜!!! 천상계 수영장 느낌이었음. 

수영장 이용할 때 보니까 한국인은 별로 없었고 동양인보다 서양인이 훨씬 많았어요. 

 

Swimming surrounded by blooming flowers, floating in the water with petals falling from the sky, and the fragrance of flowers in the air – that sounds truly heavenly! It must have felt like a divine paradise at the pool.

 

 

그랜드하얏트 발리 리조트 '키즈클럽'인데 메리어트 누사두아 테라스와는 달리 프로그램이 유료였어요.
어린이집처럼 아이만 맡기는 2시간은 무료임.

 

'Kid's Club' at the Grand Hyatt Bali Resort, unlike the complimentary program at the Marriott Nusa Dua Terrace, was chargeable. However, they do offer a free two-hour childcare service similar to a daycare for the kids.

 

 

키즈클럽 안에 토끼도 살고 있어서 아이들이 자유롭게 먹이주기 할 수 있어요.
키즈클럽이 돌담으로 둘러진 넓은 마당이 있어서 외부에서 보니까 해외 영어캠프 온 느낌이었어요.

It's interesting that there is a rabbit living inside the Kid's Club, allowing children to freely feed it. With a spacious courtyard surrounded by stone walls, the Kid's Club gives off the vibe of an overseas English camp when viewed from the outside.

 

 

이곳은 4살이하 토들러 아이들이 노는 장소이고 부모랑 같이 입장하는 곳.

This place is designed for toddlers aged 4 and below, serving as a play area where parents can join in the fun with their little ones.

 

 

한가지 팁은 리조트가 넓어서 이동할 때 버기카 타면 편해요. 리조트 안에 버기카 탑승장소 스팟에서 기다리다보면 15분마다 버기카가 와요. 키즈클럽 갈 때, 로비갈때, 쇼핑몰갈때 호텔 입구까지 태워다 주는 등 편리하게 탑승할 수 있어요. 

Here's a helpful tip: Since the resort is vast, it's convenient to use the buggy cars for transportation. If you wait at the designated buggy pick-up spots within the resort, a buggy arrives every 15 minutes. This service is handy for traveling to the Kid's Club, the lobby, the shopping mall, or even the hotel entrance.

 

 

로비라운지 바에서 보상 쿠폰으로 에프터눈 티 먹어봤어요. 음료 오더하면 6개의 초콜릿피스를 가져다줍니다.

저희는 음료를 아이스티, 아이스커피, 아이스초코를 시켰어요. 초콜릿 디저트가 나오니까 초코 음료 보다는 차 또는 커피를 시키는게 좋았을 것 같애요. 엄청 고급진 초콜릿 디저트 맛이었어요. 그랜드하얏트 발리 리조트 이용시 불편하고 기분 상했던 경험이 싹 녹아 없어졌어요. 

Trying the Afternoon Tea with the reward coupon at the lobby lounge bar was a delightful experience. When you order a drink, they bring you six pieces of chocolate. We ordered iced tea, iced coffee, and iced chocolate. Given that chocolate desserts were served, it might have been better to opt for tea or coffee rather than chocolate drinks. The chocolate desserts were exquisite, and this experience completely melted away any discomfort or negative feelings from our previous inconveniences at the Grand Hyatt Bali Resort.

 

 

저녁으로 시켜 먹었던 룸서비스 메뉴 - 피시앤칩스랑 클럽샌드위치.
피시앤칩스는 햇반에 생선 반찬으로 좋았고 클럽 샌드위치는 하나씩 나눠먹고 감자튀김은 빈땅에 맥주안주하기 좋았어요. 둘다 무난한 맛이었어요. 

The room service menu for dinner included Fish and Chips and a Club Sandwich. The Fish and Chips were great, with fish served as a side dish to rice. As for the Club Sandwich, it was perfect for sharing, and the fries made a nice accompaniment for a beer snack. Both dishes had a satisfying and straightforward taste.
