오늘은 파라다이스시티호텔에서 러브인 파라다이스 뱅크시 & 키스해링 미술전시 다녀온 경험을 기록합니다.
Snowman Hotel review.
Today, I'm sharing my experience of visiting the Love in Paradise Banksy & Kissing Art Exhibition at Paradise City Hotel.
이곳은 파라다이스시티호텔 PLAZA광장이에요.
파라다이스 아트 스페이스에서 미술 전시를 하는데, 방문했을 때 '뱅크시&키스해링 무료 전시'가 있었어요.
그리고 현재는 '고래와 나' 전시가 유료로 진행중이라고 합니다.
This is Paradise City Hotel PLAZA Square. I visited the Paradise Art Space where there was a free exhibition called "Banksy & Keith Haring Exhibition" on the day of my visit. And currently, they are hosting a paid exhibition titled "Whales and Me."
파라다이스 아트 스페이스 입구부터 멋진 예술작품들을 볼 수 있었어요.
From the entrance of Paradise Art Space, I could see magnificent artworks.
이 작품은 키스해링 작품. (무제) 임신한 두 여성이 한손을 위로 들고 다른 한손은 서로 맞잡은 모습을 묘사한 작품이에요.
두여성 사이에는 한사람이 서 있고 그 위에 기어가는 아기가 그려져 있습니다. 새생명을 탄생시키는 인간의 몸에 대한 찬사를 표현했다네요!
키스해링은 그래피티, 만화 등을 혼합해서 개성넘치는 스타일을 창조하는 작가라고 합니다.
모성이나 신체등을 주제로 삼아서 생동감 넘치는 작품이 많다고 하네요.
This artwork is by Keith Haring. It's an untitled piece depicting two pregnant women holding one hand up and holding each other's hand with the other hand.
Between the two women stands a figure, and a baby crawling over them is drawn. It seems to express praise for the human body that gives birth to new life!
Keith Haring is known for creating a distinctive style by blending graffiti, cartoons, and more.
It's said that he has many vibrant works focusing on themes such as motherhood or the human body.
이것도 키스해링 작품인데 (무제), 크기가 엄청 큰 대형작품이에요.
하트와 손의 이미지는 함께 모여 보다 나은 미래를 만들자는 메세지를 뜻합니다.
This is also a Keith Haring artwork, untitled. It's a large-scale piece with a tremendous size.
The images of hearts and hands symbolize coming together to create a better future.
이 작품들은 뱅크시 작품이에요.
그 중 강아지를 끌고 가는 모습의 작품명은 '무기를 고르시오' 입니다. 사람들에게 스스로 창의성과 개성을 받아들이도록 격려하는 동시에 억압하는 현대사회에 대한 비판으로 풀이되고 있습니다.
These artworks are by Banksy. Among them, the piece depicting someone walking a dog is titled "Choose Your Weapon." It is interpreted as a critique of modern society, encouraging people to embrace their creativity and individuality while also criticizing the oppressive aspects of society.
꽃다발을 던지려고 하는 작품은 뱅크시의 '사랑은 공중에' 입니다.
화염병 대신에 꽃다발을 든 인물이 등장하면서, 폭력의 상징은 평화에 대한 외침으로 표현된다고 합니다.
그리고 쥐 모티브에 붉은 하트모양이 그려진 작품은 '러브 랫 온 팔레트' 입니다.
빨간 립스틱을 든 쥐가 하트를 그리는 모습은 마치 연애에 충실하지 못한 사람을 뜻하는 '러브 랫'이라는 유희적인 표현을 연상케 합니다. 사랑의 힘을 말하는 동시에 작은쥐의 붉은 하트를 통해 뱅크시는 더 나은 미래를 희망하는 메세지를 전하고 있습니다.
The artwork depicting someone about to throw a bouquet of flowers is Banksy's "Love is in the Air." With the figure holding a bouquet instead of a Molotov cocktail, the symbol of violence transforms into a cry for peace.
As for the piece featuring a mouse motif with red heart shapes, it's titled "Love Rat on Palette." The image of a mouse holding red lipstick and drawing a heart evokes a playful expression known as "love rat," suggesting someone not committed to love. Alongside this, Banksy conveys a message of hope for a better future through the small mouse's red heart, speaking to the power of love.
뱅크시 작품 중 가장 인상깊었던 '풍선없는 소녀' 입니다.
이 작품의 스토리가 참 재밌는데요. 뱅크시 작품인 '풍선과 소녀' 가 런던 경매에서 낙찰되자마자 액자안에 기계가 작동해 작품이 파쇄된 사건이 일어났다고 해요. 이 사건이 뱅크시 본인의 계획으로 밝혀지면서 오히려 전세계의 이목이 집중되었고 작품 가치는 더욱 상승했다고 합니다. ㅎㄷㄷ 그 후로 풍선없는 소녀 라고 다시 제목을 지었대요.
다시 경매에 나왔는데 18배 높은 가격으로 낙찰되고 뱅크시 작품 중 최고가 기록을 세웠습니다.
The most impressive Banksy artwork for me is "Girl with Balloon." The story behind this piece is quite fascinating. After the Banksy artwork "Girl with Balloon" was sold at a London auction, a mechanism inside the frame activated, shredding the artwork into pieces. It was later revealed that this event was planned by Banksy himself. Surprisingly, this incident drew even more attention worldwide, and the value of the artwork soared. Subsequently, it was renamed "Love is in the Bin." When it went back up for auction, it sold for 18 times its previous price, setting a record as the highest-selling Banksy artwork.
무료전시 보고 나오니까 PLAZA 광장에서 마침 '유러피안 레트로 서커스 공연'을 하고 있었어요.
매주 주말 5시에 시작하는데 오.. 이 공연 정말 재밌고 볼 만했어요.
After visiting the free exhibition, as I exited, I stumbled upon the "European Retro Circus Show" happening at PLAZA Square. It starts every weekend at 5 PM, and oh, what a delightful and enjoyable performance it was!
레트로 서커스 공연이 끝나고 가면무도회 보러 플라자에서 호텔로비로 이동했어요.
가면무도회 공연은 오후 2시, 7시에 시작해요.
5시에 레트로 서커스 공연 끝나고 가면무도회까지 보려면 중간에 시간이 조금 남아요.
그럴 때는 호텔 구석구석 돌아다니며 미술작품 감상하면 시간이 금방 지나갑니다.
After the Retro Circus show ended, I made my way from PLAZA Square to the hotel lobby to attend the Masquerade Ball. The Masquerade Ball performances start at 2 PM and 7 PM.
With a bit of time to spare between the 5 PM Retro Circus show and the Masquerade Ball, exploring the hotel and admiring the artwork in every corner is a fantastic way to pass the time.
오랜만에 감상한 가면무도회 공연은 작년보다 더 업그레이드 된 모습이었어요.
그리고 작년에는 바이올린 연주가 있었는데 올해는 플룻연주로 공연을 이어나갔어요.
호박 작품 옆쪽에 엄청 큰 하프가 놓여있었어요.
알고보니 9시 30분, 10시 30분에 하프공연 연주가 있다고 합니다.
정말!! 볼거리 많은 파라다이스 호텔이네요!!
The Masquerade Ball performance I enjoyed after a long time was even more upgraded than last year's. Additionally, while last year featured violin performances, this year, they continued the show with flute performances.
Next to the pumpkin artwork, there was an enormous harp placed.
I later found out that there are harp performances scheduled for 9:30 PM and 10:30 PM. Paradise Hotel truly offers a plethora of entertainment options!
참고로 푸드코트에서 식사하면 2시간 주차 무료에요~
Just a heads up, if you dine at the food court, you get 2 hours of free parking!
또 참고로.. 카페에서 음료한잔 하면 2시간 주차 무료에요.
그래서 총 4시간 무료로 주차했어요!!!
폴바셋이 전보다 공간이 더 넓어지고 좋아졌더라구요~
Also, if you grab a drink at the café, you get 2 hours of free parking as well. So, in total, I got 4 hours of free parking!!! Plus, it seems like Paul Bassett's has expanded and improved its space compared to before.
마지막으로 들린 화장실인데 파라다이스호텔의 고급미가 철철 넘칩니다.
벽에 걸려있는 그림까지....보면 볼수록 미술, 예술작품에 진심인 것 같은 파라다이스 호텔.
Lastly, I visited the restroom, and the luxury of Paradise Hotel permeates every corner. Even the paintings hanging on the walls... the more you look, the more it seems like Paradise Hotel is genuinely dedicated to art and artistic expression.
