오늘은 하와이 갔을때 와이키키리조트호텔 이용한 경험을 공유해보고자 합니다.

Snowman Hotelreview.

Today, I'd like to share my experience staying at the Waikiki Resort Hotel in Hawaii.

 

 

하와이 와이키키 리조트 호텔은 오래되었지만 한국사람들이 많이 이용하는 호텔이에요.
호텔 카운터에 한국인 직원이 있어서 한국어로 소통했어요.

그런데 다른 (한국인처럼 생긴 )직원은 영어만 가능한 직원이었어요. 
로비는 오픈되어 있는 실내공간이고 로비 천장에 팬이 돌아가고 있었지만 더웠어요.

The Waikiki Resort Hotel in Hawaii is quite old, but it's a hotel that many Koreans use. There was a Korean staff member at the hotel counter, so I was able to communicate in Korean.

However, there was another (who looked Korean) staff member who could only speak English. The lobby is an open indoor space with a rotating fan on the ceiling, but it was hot.

 

 

로비에 슈퍼 있는데, 숙소 바로 밖에 나가면 ABC 마트가 많이 있어요. 

There's a souvenir shop in the lobby, and when you step right outside the accommodation, you'll find many ABC Mart stores.

 

 

엘리베이터 내리면 양쪽으로 방들이 있어요.

건물 자체가 길지 않아서 호텔복도 걸어갈 일 없어요.

When you exit the elevator, there are rooms on both sides. The building itself isn't very long, so you don't have to walk far along the hotel corridors.

 

 

와이키키리조트 객실이에요. 그럭저럭 괜찮음. 그런데 에어컨 틀어도 방이 습하네요.

 

It's a room at the Waikiki Resort. It's decent. However, even when you turn on the air conditioning, the room feels humid.

 

 

 

커피머신과 커피캡슐 있어요.

There's a coffee machine and coffee capsules available.

 

 

방 구조가 특이해요. 세면대 옆에 옷장이 있어요.
무엇보다 세면대가 넓어서 옆에 화장품 같은 물건 올려두기 좋았어요.
그 세면대 아래에는 미니 냉장고가 있습니다. 당황스럽네요 이런 위치는 처음봐서요. 
슬리퍼 없으니 꼭 챙기세요. 없으면 레알 불편한게 슬리퍼임.

The room layout is unique. There's a wardrobe next to the sink. What's more, the sink is spacious, making it convenient to place items like cosmetics beside it. Underneath the sink, there's a mini fridge. It was surprising to see it positioned there for the first time. Make sure to bring slippers because if they're not provided, it can be really inconvenient.

 

 

와이키키 호텔 어메니티인데 샴푸, 린스, 바디샤워, 바디로션, 비누 한세트로 있어요.

용기가 하와이 느낌나게 생겼어요. 

 

The amenities at the Waikiki hotel include a set of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, and soap. The containers have a Hawaiian vibe to them.

 

 

세면대 뒤로 화장실이 있는데 문으로 공간분리된 구조에요.

그런데 샤워실이 엄청 좁아요. 샤워할 때 여기 덩치 큰 사람은 엄청 불편하겠단 생각이 들었어요. 
샤워실 안에 작은 선반 있는데 기울어진 디자인이라서 샴푸나 린스 등 어메니티 올려두면 다 떨어져요.

이건 뭐 선반의 기능이 없어요 ;; 그래서 샴푸 린스 바닥에 두고 허리 굽히면서 샤워했어요. 

The toilet area is separated from the sink area by a door. However, the shower area is extremely narrow. I couldn't help but think how uncomfortable it must be for someone larger to shower here. There's a small shelf inside the shower, but its design is slanted, so if you place amenities like shampoo or conditioner on it, they'll just slide off. It's like the shelf serves no purpose at all. So, I ended up placing shampoo and conditioner on the shower floor and showering while bending over.

 

 

하와이 와이키키리조트 오션뷰 룸 이용했는데 전면이 뻥 뚫린 오션뷰가 아니에요.
와이키키리조트호텔 앞에 큰 건물이 있어서 건물 사이로 바다가 보여요. 

 

I stayed in an ocean view room at the Waikiki Resort in Hawaii, it wasn't a full ocean view where you could see the ocean unobstructed. There's a large building in front of the Waikiki Resort hotel, so you can only see the ocean through gaps between buildings

 

 

하와이 와이키키 리조트 호텔 수영장은 2층에 있어요. 깊이가 꽤 깊으니 성인도 조심해야해요. 

The swimming pool at the Waikiki Resort Hotel in Hawaii is located on the second floor. It's quite deep, so even adults need to be cautious.

 

테라스에서 하와이 바다소리 들으면서 야외에서 맥주 마셨어요. 
근처 ABC 마트에서 하와이 현지맥주 비키니 블론드 라거 마셨는데 이거 괜찮아요!  

맥주살때 꼭 여권 지참하시길. 없으면 술 못사요. 

I enjoyed drinking beer outdoors on the terrace while listening to the sound of the ocean in Hawaii. I bought a local Hawaiian beer called Bikini Blonde Lager from a nearby ABC Mart, and it was really good!

 

하와이 와이키키리조트호텔은 위치가 정말 좋아요!!

호텔 밖으로 나가면 바로 앞이 하와이명소인 '와이키키비치'에요. 비치에서 매일 이런 저녁노을을 볼 수 있고 근처에 맛집이 즐비해요. 

 

The location of the Waikiki Resort Hotel in Hawaii is truly amazing!!

As soon as you step outside the hotel, you're right in front of the famous Hawaiian landmark, Waikiki Beach. You can witness beautiful sunsets like this every evening at Waikiki Beach. There are plenty of delicious restaurants nearby.

 

 

 

호텔 근처에 치즈버거 인 파라다이스 햄버거 맛집이 있는데 아주 가까워요.
여기서 하와이안버거랑 어니언링 시켜서 먹었어요.
하와이 왔으니 구운파인애플이 들어간 하와이안버거는 꼭 드셔보세요.

Near the hotel, there's a popular burger joint called Cheeseburger In Paradise, and it's very close by. I ordered the Hawaiian burger and onion rings here. Since you're in Hawaii, be sure to try the Hawaiian burger with grilled pineapple—it's a must!

근처 포케집에서 갈릭연어&참치 포장해서 테라스에서 먹었어요. 참고로 가운데 미역줄기가 비리더라구요.

비린맛으로 먹는 하와이 포케...

포케라는 말이 자른다는 뜻으로 회를 깍뚝썰기 해서 양념과 버무려 먹는 음식을 말한다고 하네요.
우리나라 회덮밥과 비슷한데 한국 회덮밥은 초고추장으로 매콤하게 먹는 방면 하와이 포케는 간장베이스 소스로 먹는 회덮밥 맛.
먹으면서 하와이를 완전하게 즐기려고 우쿨렐레 노래 들으면서 지냈어요. 

I picked up some garlic salmon and tuna from a nearby poke shop and enjoyed it on the terrace. Just a heads up, there was a slightly fishy taste in the middle of the seaweed stem.

The word 'poke' means 'to slice' in Hawaiian, referring to the diced fish mixed with seasonings. It's similar to Korean 'hoe-deopbap' (raw fish rice bowl), but while Korean hoe-deopbap is spicy with red pepper paste, Hawaiian poke is seasoned with a soy sauce-based sauce. To fully immerse myself in the Hawaiian experience, I listened to ukulele music while eating.

 

 

호텔 근처 또 다른 맛집! 아일랜드 빈티지 커피에서 아사이볼 먹었어요.

오리지널 아사이볼은 크기가 무지 커요. 다른 아사이볼은 사이즈 선택 가능한데, 오리지널 아사이볼은 큰 사이즈만 있어요.
안에 그래놀라 곡물이 가득 들어있어서 배부르고 한끼 식사로 충분했어요.

I also tried the acai bowl at Island Vintage Coffee.

The original acai bowl is huge in size. While you can choose the size for other acai bowls, the original comes only in a large size. It's filled with granola and grains, so it's quite filling and serves as a satisfying meal on its own.

 

밤에 와이키키해변 산책하다 만난 하와이안 강아지.

얼굴은 무섭게 생겼는데 꽃 목걸이 하고 있으니까 화사하고 귀여웠어요. 

Encountering a Hawaiian dog while taking a stroll on Waikiki Beach at night.

Despite its intimidating appearance, it was lively and adorable with a flower necklace around its neck.
