두바이에서 호텔 스위트룸은 얼마나 좋을까?! [르 로열 메르디앙 비치 리조트]

안녕하세요. 눈사람호텔리뷰입니다.
아랍 에메리에트 '두바이'에 다녀왔는데, 이번에 이용했던 숙소는 '르 로열 메르디앙 비치 리조트' 입니다. 
흔히 알고 있는 '르 메르디앙 호텔'보다 '로열' 글씨가 붙어있어서 한층 높은 퀄리티를 자랑한다고 하네요.

This time, I visited Dubai in the United Arab Emirates and stayed at the "Le Royal Méridien Beach Resort." Known for its exceptional quality, this resort is a step above the typical "Le Méridien Hotel," thanks to the "Royal" designation in its name.
Let's explore what makes this resort stand out!
 

 
처음에 입구 들어서자마자 바로 앞에 있는 카운터는 컨시어지고, 체크인 하는 카운터는 왼쪽에 있습니다. 
그동안 쌓아놓았던 메리어트 포인트를 전부 사용해서 무료로 이용했어요 !!
 
As soon as you enter the resort, you’ll see the concierge desk straight ahead, while the check-in counter is to your left.
I used all the Marriott points I had accumulated over time, so I enjoyed a complimentary stay!
 

 
체크인 하려고 기다리고 있는데 호텔 직원분께서 웰컴 드링크를 가져다 주셨어요.
(물과 주스 중에 선택 가능)
연두빛 주스를 마셔봤는데 사과 민트 맛이 나는 주스였어요. 
 
While waiting to check in, a hotel staff brought over welcome drinks. You could choose between water and juice.
I opted for the light green juice, which had a refreshing apple-mint flavor.
 

 
로비는 아늑하고 깔끔했으며 천장에 매달린 흔들의자가 있어서 앉아있을 때 나름 재미있었어요.
그리고 아랍글씨로 장식된 벽이 흥미롭고 인상깊었습니다.
마치 우리나라 한글로 벽장식한 느낌처럼 생각하시면 되겠습니다. 
 
The lobby was cozy and pristine, with an inviting ambiance. One interesting feature was the hanging swing chairs attached to the ceiling, which were quite fun to sit in.
Additionally, the walls adorned with intricate Arabic calligraphy were both fascinating and impressive. It reminded me of how walls in Korea are sometimes decorated with Hangul, adding a unique cultural touch.
 

 
호텔 직원분께서 방까지 동행해 주셨어요.
'메리어트 골드멤버' 라 방을 업그레이드 해주셨대요!!! 너무 기대가 되고 감사했어요. 
 

A hotel staff member escorted us to  room, and to my delight, I was informed that my room had been upgraded because I’m a 'Marriott Gold Member.'
I was thrilled and grateful for this unexpected upgrade!
 

 
엘리베이터에서 내렸는데, 복도에 쇼파와 장식물로 고급스러운 분위기를 연출해 놓았어요.
수많은 호텔을 이용해 본 경험으로는... 보통 엘리베이터 옆 공간을 꾸밀 때 콘솔 위에 장식물 올려져 있는 것 까지는 봤습니다. 그런데 이곳은 뭐 거의 호텔 로비처럼 꾸며놨어요.  
 
When I got off the elevator, I was immediately struck by the luxurious atmosphere of the hallway. It was decorated with sofas and ornamental pieces, creating an elegant setting.
In my experience with many hotels, the area next to the elevator usually has some decorative items on a console table at best. However, here, it felt like stepping into a small version of a typical hotel lobby.
 

 
우리가 묵을 방으로 가는 중간중간에도 복도에 이런 장식이 꾸며져 있어요.
보통 호텔 복도에 아무것도 없잖아요?!!! 이렇게 신경 쓴 호텔은 처음 보는 것 같애요. 
그만큼 복도 공간이 넓고 중간중간 비어있는 공간 하나도 용납하지 않는 이 세심함을 엿 볼 수 있었습니다.
평소에 보지 못한 퀄리티입니다. 확실히 이 호텔이 다른곳보다 고급스럽다고 느껴졌습니다. 
 
As we walked to our room, I noticed that the hallway itself was thoughtfully decorated with similar luxurious touches along the way. Unlike most hotel corridors that tend to be quite plain, this one was full of carefully arranged décor pieces.
It was clear that every inch of space was meticulously designed, and the spacious corridors had no empty or neglected areas. This attention to detail created a high-end atmosphere I hadn't experienced in many other hotels. It truly highlighted how this hotel stands out in terms of luxury and refinement.

 

 
업그레이드 해 준 방은 넓은 거실과 방이 있는 스위트룸이었어요.
세상에!!! 메리어트 포인트 써서 무료로 이용하는 것도 만족스러운데... 이런 호사스러운 경험을 다 해보네요!!!!
호텔 직원이 방까지 동행해 주시는 줄만 알았는데 방 안에서 이렇게 하나하나 설명을 다 해주시네요.
처음 경험해 봐서 이런 세심한 서비스 너무나 감사하고 신기했습니다.

The room we were upgraded to was a spacious suite with a large living area and a separate bedroom.
Unbelievable! Not only was I thrilled to enjoy a complimentary stay using my Marriott points, but I also got to experience such luxury!
I initially thought the hotel staff was just accompanying me to the room, but to my surprise, they provided a detailed tour and explained how everything worked inside the suite. This level of attentive service was a first for me, and I was truly grateful and amazed by their meticulous care.
(They went over each feature of the suite, from how to use the room controls to understanding the amenities available.)
 

 
와 근데 여기 너무 좋네요.
스위트룸이라 그런지 우선 방 크기 사이즈가 엄청 납니다.
거실에는 식사테이블, 큰 쇼파, 엑스트라 베드 하나 있습니다.
침대방에는 세 명이 한꺼번에 자도 공간이 널널한 침대가 있었으며 ( 이제껏 호텔에서 지내 본 중 가장 넓은 침대였어요) 
침대 뒤에는 드레스룸이 있는데 공간이 옷장 세 개 있고 충분이 넓었어요. 
옷장 안에는 르 메르디앙 쇼핑백과 슬리퍼 다리미가 있었어요. 
생수는 하루만 묵는데 10병이 있었습니다. (거실 6병, 침대 2병, 화장실 2병 )
 

Wow, this place is truly incredible.
As a suite, the room is exceptionally spacious. The living area features a large dining table, a big sofa, and even an extra bed.
In the bedroom, there’s a massive bed that could comfortably sleep three people—it’s the largest bed I’ve ever seen in a hotel.
Behind the bed is a walk-in dressing room with enough space for three wardrobes, offering plenty of room.
Inside the wardrobes, I found Le Méridien shopping bags, slippers, and an iron.
Despite staying only one night, they provided an impressive ten bottles of water: six in the living room, two by the bed, and two in the bathroom.

 

 
화장실도 너무 좋아요.
욕조 있고 호텔 어메니티도 필요한 것 다 있습니다.
샴푸, 린스, 바디워시는 대용량으로 있었고 나머지 바디로션, 가그린은 미니사이즈로 놓여있었어요.
그리고 안내문에 나머지 필요한 물품 있으면 호텔에 애기하면 제공해 준다고 써져 있었어요. 
비누는 세면대와 변기옆에도 세팅되어 있었습니다. 
처음 두바이 와서 놀랜게... 화장실 안에 변기 같은게 두개가 있는 거에요.
하나는 변기 하나는 비데입니다. 
처음 아랍 와서 저 낯선 비데 모습에 처음에 많이 당황스러웠었는데.. 이번엔 저 변기 옆에 비누가 놓여있는 걸 보고 또 새롭네요.  두바이에서 호텔 여러군데 이용해 봤는데 처음 보는 광경입니다. 
 
The bathroom here is fantastic!
It has a luxurious bathtub and all the amenities you could need. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided in large bottles, while the body lotion and mouthwash are available in smaller sizes.
The welcome guide also mentioned that if we needed anything else, the hotel would be happy to provide it. There were soaps placed both on the sink and next to the toilet.
When I first visited Dubai, I was surprised to find two fixtures that looked like toilets in the bathroom. One is a toilet, and the other is a bidet. Initially, this unusual bidet setup in the Middle East caught me off guard, but now, it’s intriguing to see a bar of soap placed next to it. Even though I’ve stayed in several hotels in Dubai, this is the first time I’ve encountered this setup.
Overall, the attention to detail in the bathroom adds to the exceptional experience at this hotel.
 

 
알라딘 양탄자가 생각나는 이 카페트는 기도할 때 쓰는 거라네요. 
The carpet that reminds me of Aladdin is used for praying, I hear.
 

 
야외 테라스도 있어서 나가봤는데 리조트 수영장 야경이 보였습니다.
날씨가 너무 더워서 야외 테라스에서 오랜 시간 머물수가 없었습니다.

I went out to the outdoor terrace, and I could see the resort pool's night view. The weather was too hot, so I couldn't stay on the outdoor terrace for long.
 

 
더 놀라운건 생일이라고 와인과 호텔 케이크까지 깜짝 이벤트 해주었어요. 
룸 업그레이드 해 준것도 감사한데 생일 준비까지 해 주시다니요... 메리어트 포인트 써서 무료로 왔는데 이런 호사를 다 누려보네요. 충성 고객이 되어야 겠다고 마음 먹게 했던 순간이었습니다. 
이런 서비스 너무 감동적이고 좋은데요. 메리어트 계열 호텔 투숙 시 결혼기념일이나 생일이라고 언급 한번 해보세요.
깜짝 서프라이즈가 기다리고 있을 수 있습니다.
 
What was even more surprising was that they arranged a surprise event with wine and a hotel cake for my birthday. I'm grateful for the room upgrade too, but to go the extra mile with birthday preparations... I used Marriott points for a free stay, and experiencing such hospitality makes it all worthwhile. It was a moment that made me decide to become a loyal customer. Such service is so touching and wonderful. If you stay at a Marriott hotel, try mentioning your anniversary or birthday. There might be a surprise waiting for you.
 

 
하루만 지낼 곳이라 굉장히 아쉬운 밤이었어요.
마지막 밤인데 준비해둔 레드와인에 호텔 케이크를 먹어봐야죠.
케이크는 자를때 딱딱해서 보니까 전체적으로 초콜릿이 덮여있었고 안에는 체리가 들어있는 초코 케이크였습니다. 
 
It was a very regretful night as it was the last night in a place to stay for just one day. Tonight is the last night, so I should try the red wine I prepared and the hotel cake. When I cut the cake, it was hard, and I could see that it was covered in chocolate overall, and inside, there was a chocolate cake with cherries.
 

 
처음 보는 커피 캡슐 브랜드 CREMOSO가 있었어요.
커피 내려서 마셔보니 거품이 풍부하고 정말 맛있는 커피였고 커피캡슐의 원조 네스프레소 커피에 버금가는 맛이었어요. 방안에 커피와 함께 즐길 쿠키가 놓여있습니다. 
 
There was a new coffee capsule brand called CREMOSO that I encountered for the first time. I brewed the coffee and found it to be rich in foam and really delicious. It had a taste that could rival Nespresso, the original coffee capsule. There are cookies placed in the room to enjoy with the coffee.
 

 
푹 자고 다음날 아침. 방 안에서 ( 밤이라 안 보였던 ) 바다와 아인 두바이가 보입니다.
유리창에 현재 위치를 알려주는 좌표(?) 테이프를 붙여놔서 시야에 방해가 되네요 ;;;
왜 이런 스티커를 유리창에 붙여놓았을까요.. 아쉽네요

After a good night's sleep, the next morning, I can see (which I couldn't see at night) the sea and Ain Dubai from the room. There's a coordinate tape stuck on the window that indicates the current location, and it's obstructing the view;;;
I wonder why they put such stickers on the glass... 
 

호텔 건물에서 수영장으로 쪽으로 나갈 때 자동문이 아니고 카드키를 내야 문이 열립니다. 
호텔 수영장 부지로 아무나 들어갈 수 없는 구조였네요.
 
When leaving the hotel building towards the pool area, instead of automatic doors, you need to use a key card to open the door. It's a structure that prevents just anyone from entering the hotel pool grounds.
 

 
리조트 내 공작새가 많이 살고 있어서 언제 어디서든지 공자새를 만날 수 있습니다.
깃털 화려한 수컷 공작새도 볼 수 있고요.
어미 공작새와 아기 공작새 가족도 볼 수 있습니다. 한두마리가 아니고 많이 있어요. 
 
There are many peacocks living within the resort, so you can encounter peacocks almost anytime and anywhere. You can see the brightly feathered male peacocks, and there are also families of peafowl with mother peacocks and baby peacocks. There are not just one or two, but many of them.
 

 
공작새 보러 나온 김에 리조트를 구경하려구요.
두바이 날씨가 너무 더워서 왠만하면 이른 아침에 나와야해요. 
리조트 내 엄청 큰 수영장 세 곳이나 있습니다.
호텔 앞 부지가 엄청 넓어요. 규모가 역대급이서 산책을 해도 끝이 없어요. 
리조트 분위기는 야자수가 많이 있는 이국적인 분위기였습니다. 
 
I'm heading out to see the peacocks and explore the resort. Due to the intense heat in Dubai, it's best to come out early in the morning whenever possible.
The resort boasts three enormous swimming pools. The hotel grounds are incredibly vast, with a scale that seems unprecedented, making even a stroll feel endless.
The resort ambiance is exotic with plenty of palm trees creating a tropical atmosphere.
 

 
리조트 내 축구장이 있는데 잔디 관리를 얼마나 잘해놨는지... 엠보싱 느낌 제대로에요.
잠깐 밟아봤는데 폭신폭신하고 축구할 맛 나겠더라구요.

There's a soccer field within the resort, and the grass is so well maintained that it feels like it's been professionally embossed. I stepped on it briefly, and it felt so plush and soft that it made me crave playing soccer.
 

 
계속 가다보면 리조트 전용비치인 백사장 해변이 나오거든요. 거기서 낙타 봤어요!!!
아침 산책 나왔는데 우연히 본 두바이 낙타!!
중동 온 느낌 제대로 나고 재밌고 신기하고 좋았어요.
낙타는 이른 아침이나 오후 4시 이후로 나온다고 해요. 
보통 두바이 여행오면 사막투어하면서 낙타 타잖아요~?! 이 리조트에 오면 해변에 낙타를 탈 수 있습니다. 
 
As you continue further, you'll come across the private beach of the resort, which is a pristine white sandy beach. There, I saw camels!!! I was out for a morning walk and happened to see camels, giving me a true Middle Eastern vibe. It was exciting, fascinating, and so enjoyable.
Camels usually come out early in the morning or after 4 PM. When people visit Dubai, they often go on desert tours and ride camels, right?! If you come to this resort, you can ride camels on the beach.
 

 
저 멀리 아인두바이가 보입니다. 아인 두바이는 두바이의 부촌 지역이래요.
리조트 근처에 스카이 다이빙 하는 곳이 있는데 자꾸 하늘에서 사람들이 내려오거든요ㅋㅋㅋ
이것도 보는 재미가 있었어요 ㅎㅎㅎ
진짜 사람이 막 떨어지다가 중간에 낙하산 펴지는데 아찔하더라구요.
어떤 사람은 너무 속도가 붙어서 빨리 떨어지는데 보는데 막 조마조마했어요.
 
I can see Ain Dubai in the distance. Ain Dubai is known as the upscale area of Dubai.
Near the resort, there's a place for skydiving, and I keep seeing people coming down from the sky, haha. It was quite fun to watch. 😄
You really see people dropping down, and then suddenly their parachutes open midway, which is thrilling. Some people were falling so fast that it made me quite nervous watching them.
 

 
호텔 부지가 너무 넓어서 날씨도 더운데 돌아다니기 힘든 곳이었어요.
몰랐는데 이런 버기카 서비스가 있으니까 이거 타고 이동하세요.
버기카 서비스는 수영장에 앉아있는 직원에게 부탁하면 무전기로 불러줍니다.
 
The hotel grounds were so expansive that it was challenging to move around, especially in the hot weather. I didn't know they had buggy services available; you can just hop on and get around much easier.
The buggy service allows you to request a ride by asking one of the staff members stationed around the pool area, and they'll call for one using a walkie-talkie.
 

방안에 '무료 커피 쿠폰'이랑 '컬쳐 패스'가 있어서 한번 사용해 보았어요.
무료 커피 쿠폰은 로비에 있는 허브 바에서 사용하면 됩니다.
선택지로는 커피랑 아이스커피 중 가능하다고 해서, 아이스커피 주문했죠.
우리가 흔히 알고있는 아이스커피가 아니고, 커피를 칵테일 믹서에 넣고 쉐킷쉐킷한 다음 얼음없는 시원한 커피를 제공받았어요. (사실 난 아이스아메리카노를 마시고 싶었는데...)
얼음없는 꼬수운 라떼였는데 어쨌든 마셔보니 커피 맛은 좋았습니다.
커피를 칵테일 믹서에 만들어 줬으니... 커피 칵테일 서비스를 받은 느낌이었어요.  
컬쳐패스는 사용처를 물어보니, 호텔에서 한시간 거리에 있는 미술관에 갈 수 있는 입장권이라 그래서 안 갔습니다. 

 
In my room, there were 'free coffee coupons' and a 'culture pass', so I decided to use them. The free coffee coupon can be used at the herb bar in the lobby. They offered coffee and iced coffee as options, so I ordered an iced coffee. However, it wasn't the typical iced coffee we're familiar with; they put the coffee in a cocktail mixer, shook it up, and served it ice-free and cool. (Honestly, I wanted an iced Americano...)
It was a chilled latte without ice, but regardless, the coffee tasted good.
Since they made the coffee in a cocktail mixer... it felt like receiving a coffee cocktail service.
When I asked about the culture pass, they said it was an entry ticket to an art museum an hour away from the hotel, so I didn't go.

 

 
호텔 시설들을 살펴 볼게요.
이 호텔의 놀라운 점은...입점된 상점과 레스토랑이 이렇게 많다는 점입니다. 
이 중 미슐랭 레스토랑도 있었어요. 
그리고 놀라운 점은 밤 11시가 다 될때까지 호텔 뷔페에서 제법 많은 사람들이 식사를 하고 있었습니다. 
산책하다 보니 리조트 내 다른 레스토랑도 밤 늦게까지 영업을 하고 있는 분위기였어요.
 
Let me explore the hotel facilities for you.
One remarkable aspect of this hotel is the sheer number of shops and restaurants it hosts. There's even a Michelin-starred restaurant among them. Another surprising feature is that the hotel buffet had quite a crowd dining until late at night, even past 11 PM.
As I strolled around, I noticed that other restaurants within the resort were also open late into the night, creating a lively atmosphere.
 

 

 
헬스장 구경 왔어요.
런닝머신 뛸 때 창문으로 보이는 뷰가 야자수 보이고 좋았어요.
그리고 각 맞춰 물 세워 놓은 것 좀 보세요 ㅎ ㄷ ㄷ 
과일도 놓여있었고 냉장고에 음료수도 언제나 있었으며 냉장고 안 타올도 언제든지 사용할 수 있었어요. 
 
I visited the gym.
The view of palm trees from the treadmill was really nice. And check out the water bottles placed according to the room. Fruits were also available, drinks were always available in the fridge, and towels inside the fridge could be used at any time.
 

 
리조트 내 어린이 놀이터가 있는데 너무 더워서 놀 수가 없어요. 그래서놀이터 대신 아이랑 키즈클럽에 갔습니다.
키즈클럽은 호텔 로비 옆 건물에 위치해 있어요. 
키즈클럽으로 가는 로비조차 이렇게 고급스러운 분위기였습니다. 

There's a children's playground within the resort, but it was too hot to play there, so I took my child to the kids' club instead. The kids' club is located in a building next to the hotel lobby. Even the lobby leading to the kids' club had such a luxurious atmosphere.
 

 
키즈클럽은 시설도 좋고 무엇보다 직원분들이 너무 친절하셨어요.
이용 가능한 나이는 4세부터 12세까지 이고, 키즈클럽 시간표대로 프로그램을 운영하고 있었어요. 
수족관에 살아있는 생물 구경도 할 수 있고, 볼풀장과 정글짐 놀이터가 있었어요.
정글짐 놀이터는 상시 개방이 아니고 시간표에 정해진 시간에 놀 수 있었어요. 
 

Kids club is a great place! From what you described, it's well-equipped and the staff are very friendly. It's available for children aged 4 to 12, and they follow a schedule with various programs. Kids can enjoy watching live creatures in the aquarium, and there's also a ball pool and a jungle gym playground. It's nice to know that the jungle gym playground has designated hours rather than being open all the time.
