뉴질랜드 퀸즈타운 숙소 [홀리데이인 익스프레스 스위트 퀸즈타운] 장단점 정리!!

 
안녕하세요. 눈사람호텔리뷰 입니다. 
이번에는 뉴질랜드 퀸즈타운에서 묵었던 ' 홀리데이인 익스프레스 스위트 퀸즈타운' 에 대한 경험을 기록합니다. 
북섬에서 국내선을 타고 뉴질랜드 남섬으로 넘어왔어요.

Hello. This is Snowman Hotel Review.
This time, I will write about my experience at the 'Holiday Inn Express Suites Queenstown' in Queenstown, New Zealand.
I took a domestic flight from the North Island to the South Island of New Zealand.

 

 
퀸즈타운에서 홀리데이인 은 총3군데 있었어요. 
홀리데이인 퀸즈타운 공항점,  중간에 프랭크턴 로드점, 마지막으로 퀸즈타운 시내와 가까운 홀리데이인 스위트가 있습니다. 저는 접근 편의성을 위해 시내에 있는 홀리데이인을 선택했습니다. 
참고로 세 곳 중 시내에 있는 홀리데이인 스위트가 가장 가격이 비쌌습니다. 
 

There are three Holiday Inns in Queenstown.
Holiday Inn Queenstown Airport, Frankton Road in the middle, and Holiday Inn Suites close to downtown Queenstown. I chose the downtown Holiday Inn for its convenience.
By the way, the downtown Holiday Inn Suites was the most expensive of the three.

 

 
퀸즈타운 공항 근처에서 렌트카를 빌려 이동했어요. 
뉴질랜드 남섬은 대중교통 보다는( 제주도 여행하는 것처럼 ) 렌트카를 많이 빌리는 분위기였어요. 
 
I rented a car near Queenstown Airport and moved around.
In New Zealand's South Island, it seems like people rent cars more than public transportation (like when traveling to Jeju Island).

 

 
이 호텔은 가파른 언덕 위에 있지만, 퀸즈타운 시내를 걸어서 이동 가능해요.
직접 와보니까 언덕 높이가 상당합니다. ㅎㄷㄷ 언덕의 각도가 사진에서 느껴지시나요. 
근처에 퍼거버거, 퀸스타운 가든스, 퀸스타운 베이비치가 있어 위치 하나는 최고 장점인 것 같습니다.  

 

The hotel is on a steep hill, but you can walk to downtown Queenstown.
When I came here, the hill was quite high. Wow. Can you feel the angle of the hill in the photo?
The location is the best advantage because there are Ferger Burger, Queenstown Gardens, and Queenstown Baby Chee nearby.

 

 
호텔 입구로 들어가는 길입니다. 
길 한가운데까지 식물이 길게 뻗어 자라 있었는데.. 좀 잘라줘야 할 것 같은데?;;; 
정원 관리가 안되고 있는 느낌이었어요.  
 

This is the road leading to the hotel entrance.
The plants were growing long and deep into the middle of the road.. I think they need to be cut down a bit?;;;
It felt like the garden wasn't being maintained.

 

 
호텔 로비에 들어왔는데요.

와.... 이때까지 갔던 호텔 중 가장 혼잡하고 번잡스러운 로비였어요. 
보니까 뷔페 식당, 바, 로비, 카운터를 한 공간에서 다같이 사용하고 있었습니다.  
이 곳은 바(bar)면서 체크인 카운터입니다. 

 

I entered the hotel lobby.
Wow.... It was the most crowded and noisy lobby of any hotel I've ever been to.
I looked and saw that the buffet restaurant, bar, lobby, and counter were all in one space.
This is the bar and check-in counter.

 

 
한 켠에 아이스티 웰컴 드링크가 있어서 언제든 마실 수 있어요.
외출했다가 높은 언덕을 걸어 올라오게되는데, 로비 들어설때마다 갈증이 나서 벌컥벌컥 마셨습니다. 

 

There is an iced tea welcome drink in one corner, so you can drink it whenever you want. I went out and had to walk up a steep hill, and I was so thirsty every time I entered the lobby that I drank it in a hurry.

 

 
호텔 엘리베이터 사이즈가 유난히 크고 널찍하더라구요. 
엘리베이터 이용시 카드키를 탭 하고 층을 눌러야 하는데 2-3초 오래 대고 있어야 버튼이 작동 합니다. 
 

The hotel elevator is unusually large and spacious. When using the elevator, you have to tap the card key and press the floor, but you have to hold it for 2-3 seconds for the button to work.

 

 
엘리베이터 내리자마자 복도 창문으로 풍경을 바라봤어요.
와... 정말 멋진 산 전망을 볼 수 있습니다. 
퀸즈타운은 산과 호수가 어우러진 절경이 유명한 곳이죠. 
호텔 복도 전망 클라스가 이 정도입니다. 
 

As soon as I got off the elevator, I looked out the corridor window at the scenery.
Wow... I can see a really great mountain view.
Queenstown is famous for its beautiful scenery of mountains and lakes.
This is the class of the hotel corridor view.

 

 
이제 방으로 가볼게요. 
전체적인 인테리어 컨셉은 복도와 객실에 민트컬러로 포인트를 주었네요. 

 

Now let's go to the room.
The overall interior concept is to use mint color as a point in the hallway and guest room.

 

 
창밖 뷰는 어떨까요?
들어올 때 호텔 복도에서 봤던 산전망과 퀸즈타운 마을의 모습을 볼 수 있었어요. 
청량한 날씨 덕분인지 정말 아름다운 퀸즈타운의 모습이었습니다. 
 

How about the view outside the window?
I could see the mountain view and Queenstown town that I saw from the hotel hallway when I came in.
Thanks to the refreshing weather, Queenstown was really beautiful.

 

 
화장실은 깔끔했는데 문이 좀 독특해요. 
문 하나로 열고 닫으면, 샤워실 문도 되었다가 화장실 문도 되는 구조인데요.
( 이러한 문의 구조는 예전 '시드니 홀리데이인 호텔' 이용했을때 한번 본 적이 있어요.  대양주 홀리데이인 호텔 화장실 문은 같은 업체에서 설치했나봄... ) 

불투명한 유리라서 다 비치기 때문에 솔직히 지내는 동안 전 별로였어요. 

The bathroom was clean, but the door was a bit unique.
If you open and close the door, it can be used as a shower door or a bathroom door.
(I saw this door structure once when I used the Sydney Holiday Inn Hotel. I think the bathroom door at the Oceania Holiday Inn Hotel was installed by the same company...)
Since it's opaque glass, everything is visible, so honestly, I didn't like it while I was there.

냉장고, 핫포트, 차, 커피, 헤어드라이기는 있지만 무료 물, 슬리퍼는 없으니 꼭 챙기세요. 
뉴질랜드 여행하는 동안 이용했던 호텔 중 퀸즈타운 숙소를 가장 비싸게 예약했는데;;; 방안에 물도 없고 슬리퍼도 없으니 좀 실망했습니다.

참고로 한여름 성수기라 그런지 1박에 60만원대로 예약했어요. 
퀸즈타운은 작은 관광도시에 한정된 숙박시설로... 수요 대비 공급이 부족해서 가격이 높게 측정되어 있다고 합니다.  
 

There is a fridge, hot pot, tea, coffee, and a hair dryer, but there is no free water or slippers, so make sure to bring them.
Of all the hotels I stayed at while traveling in New Zealand, I booked the most expensive one in Queenstown;;; I was a little disappointed because there was no water or slippers in the room.
For reference, I booked it for 600,000 won per night, probably because it was the peak season in midsummer.
Queenstown is a small tourist city with limited accommodations... They say the prices are high because the supply is insufficient compared to the demand.

 

 
베개 타입이 두가지가 있어서 원하는 거 선택할 수 있어서 좋았어요. 
JW 메리어트 오클랜드 호텔에서는 베개가 너무 높아서 불편했거든요.
침구는 여기가 훨씬 포근하고 편했어요. 

 

It was nice that there were two types of pillows so I could choose which one I wanted.
At the JW Marriott Auckland Hotel, the pillows were too high and uncomfortable.
The bedding here was much softer and more comfortable.

 

 
호텔 인포 보니까 2층이 로비, 1층엔 피트니스 룸이 있네요.

피트니스 룸 시설 보려고 엘리베이터를 탔는데 1층 버튼이 없는거에요. 

 

According to the hotel information, the lobby is on the 2nd floor and the fitness room is on the 1st floor.
I took the elevator to see the fitness room facilities, but there was no button for the 1st floor.

 

 
외관에서 보니까 이 호텔은 로비를 중심으로 양쪽에 건물이 있는 구조에요. 

엘리베이터 안에 1층 버튼이 없다면?! 로비에서 다른 건물쪽으로 가서 엘리베이터를 갈아타면 됩니다. 
여긴 1층 버튼이 보이네요. 
 

From the outside, this hotel has a lobby-centered structure with buildings on both sides.
What if there is no 1st floor button in the elevator?! Just go to the other building in the lobby and change elevators.
Here, you can see the 1st floor button.

 

 
피트니스 룸은 작은 규모였지만 따뜻한 사우나실도 있었어요. 
The fitness room was small, but had a warm sauna.

 

 

로비가 2층이었잖아요?! 그런데 1층에도 내려와 보니까 객실이 쭉 있었습니다. 
그런데 일부 1층방은 길거리에 방향이 나 있어서 불편할 수 있어요. 
저도 외출할때 왔다갔다 하다 보니까 커튼 치는 사람과 눈 마주쳤어요. 

The lobby was on the second floor, right?! But when I went down to the first floor, there were rooms all along the way.
However, some of the rooms on the first floor face the street, so it can be inconvenient.
When I was going out, I made eye contact with the person who was pulling the curtains.

 

 
현재 IHG 다이아몬드 회원이라, 체크인할 때 무료 음료 쿠폰을 줍니다. 
혹시라도 직원이 말 안하면 먼저 물어보세요!! 저희도 말 안하길래 넌지시 물어봤더니 제공해 주었습니다. 

마실 수 있는 음료 리스트 중 크렌베리주스, 스파클링 와인, 로컬 비어 주문했습니다.
맥주는 여기서 근무하고 있는 한국인 직원이 추천해준 것을 골랐어요. 
맥주 빛깔이 평소 알던 투명한 맥주가 아니었고 마셔보니 과일향이 풍부하면서 정말 정말 맛있었습니다. 
아쉽게도 맥주 이름은 잘 모르겠습니다. 이름이 뭐냐고 한번 물어볼 것 그랬나봐요.  
 

As an IHG Diamond member, you will receive a free drink coupon when you check in.
If the staff doesn't tell you, ask first!! Since they didn't tell us, we asked them subtly and they provided it to us.
We ordered cranberry juice, sparkling wine, and local beer from the list of drinks available.
We chose the beer recommended by a Korean staff member working here.
The beer color wasn't the usual clear beer I know, and when I drank it, it had a rich fruity flavor and was really, really delicious.
Unfortunately, I don't know the name of the beer. I guess I should have asked what it was called.

 

 

 
음료를 마시면서 로비를 살펴 봤는데 크리스마스 트리가 네 개나 설치되어 있었습니다. 
안그래도 로비에 테이블 많고 의자도 많아 번잡아 보이는데, 크리스마스 트리를 너무 많이 설치해서 더 번잡한 느낌이 드는 것 같습니다.  
물론 분위기 나고 예쁘지만 뭐든지 과 하면 안좋은 것 같습니다. 
 

While drinking, I looked around the lobby and saw that there were four Christmas trees installed.
The lobby already looked crowded with many tables and chairs, but it felt even more crowded with so many Christmas trees installed.
Of course, it was atmospheric and pretty, but I think anything too much is not good.

 

 
로비 자리 곳곳마다 충전할 수 있어서 편하고 좋았어요. 
It was convenient and nice that there were charging stations everywhere in the lobby.

 

 
다음 날, 조식 포함이라 아침 먹으러 왔는데 사람이 정말정말 많았습니다.
자리마다 식기류 세팅은 안 되어 있으니 직접 챙기셔야 하구요. 
독특하게 ㅋㅋ 말로만 듣던 빨간 휴지가 있네요. 
빨간휴지 줄까 파란휴지 줄까 실사판. 
 

The next day, I came to eat breakfast because it was included, but there were really really many people.
There were no cutlery set at each seat, so you had to get them yourself.
Uniquely,  there was red toilet paper that I had only heard about.
Will they give me red toilet paper or blue toilet paper? Real life version.

 

 
메뉴 한번 살펴 볼게요.
식사하는 자리는 넓어도 음식 있는 곳은 작고 아담합니다. 
여행할 때마다 홀리데이인을 자주 이용하는데, 전세계적으로 홀리데이인 조식 메뉴는 거의 같다고 보면 됩니다. 
매번 정말 비슷해요 ㅎㅎ

 

Let's take a look at the menu.
The dining area is spacious, but the food area is small and cozy.
I often use Holiday Inn when I travel, and the Holiday Inn breakfast menu is almost the same all over the world.

 

 
 
해시브라운, 베이크빈, 토마토, 소세지, 베이컨, 스크램블, 샐러드, 과일, 요거트,  각종 빵, 시리얼, 주스, 커피머신 있어요.
커피머신에서 특히 플랫 화이트가 맛있었어요. 
 

There are hash browns, baked beans, tomatoes, sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, salad, fruit, yogurt, various breads, cereals, juice, and a coffee machine. The flat white from the coffee machine was especially delicious.

 

 
 
그야말로 서양식 아침식사! 
전에 이용했던 '홀리데이인 오클랜드 에어포트' 와 비슷했는데, 취향대로 주문해서 먹는 계란요리 서비스는 없어요. 
 

A truly Western breakfast!
It was similar to the 'Holiday Inn Auckland Airport' I used before, but there is no egg dish service where you can order it to your taste.
