뉴질랜드 숙소 추천, IHG 다이아몬드 회원이 리뷰해주는 [홀리데이인 오클랜드 에어포트] 솔직 후기

이번에는 뉴질랜드 숙소인 '홀리데이인 오클랜드 에어포트' 에 다녀온 경험을 기록합니다.

 

Hello. This is Snowman Hotel Review. 

This time, I will write about my experience staying at the New Zealand accommodation, 'Holiday Inn Auckland Airport'.

 

 

이 호텔은 오클랜드 공항과 10분 거리로 가깝고, 호텔에서 공항까지 셔틀버스가 있어서 편도 6달러로 이용할 수 있어요.

오클랜드 공항 아침출발 비행기를 타려면 이 곳 숙소를 추천드릴게요.

This hotel is close to Auckland Airport, 10 minutes away, and there is a shuttle bus from the hotel to the airport, which costs $6 one way.
If you are taking an early morning flight from Auckland Airport, I recommend this place to stay.

 

 

현재 IHG 다이아몬드 회원이라 그동안 쌓아놓은 포인트를 사용해서 무료로 다녀왔습니다.
나름 IHG 충성 고객이어서 ^^ 해외에서 숙소 이용할 때 이왕이면 같은 계열인 호텔을 선택하게 되더라구요.
체크인 할때 보니까 카운터 벽면이 어항이었어요.

I am currently an IHG Diamond member, so I used the points I had accumulated to travel for free.
I am a loyal IHG customer ^^ When I stay at a hotel overseas, I tend to choose a hotel within the same group.
When I checked in, I saw that the counter wall was a fish tank.

 

홀리데이인 오클랜드 에어포트는 공항호텔인데 휴양지 리조트 같은 호텔에요.

직접 와보니 라탄소재를 활용한 호텔 인테리어가 정말 휴양지 리조트 온 것 같았습니다.

Holiday Inn Auckland Airport is an airport hotel, but it is like a resort hotel.
When I visited in person, the hotel interior, which utilized rattan materials, really felt like a resort hotel.

 

체크인 후 수영장 있는 정원으로 나가봤어요.
청량한 하늘, 야자수가 있는 수영장이 정말 좋았습니다.
그런데 보니까 수영장이 꽤 깊었어요.

바로 옆에 단차 낮은 수영장이 있긴한데... 연결되어 있으니 빠지지 않게 조심해야 해요.
뉴질랜드 날씨가 한국과는 다르게 한여름인데도 좀 서늘하더라구요.

여행하는 내내 긴팔 외투 입고 다녔고 추워서 수영장 이용을 못했습니다. 

 

After checking in, I went out to the garden with the pool.
The refreshing sky and the pool with palm trees were really nice.
But when I looked, the pool was quite deep.
There is a low-level pool right next to it... but it is connected, so you have to be careful not to fall in.
The weather in New Zealand is different from Korea, and it was a bit chilly even in midsummer.
I wore a long-sleeved coat the whole time I was traveling, and it was so cold that I couldn't use the pool.

 

참고로 이 호텔은 건물이 총 2층밖에 없어요.
엘리베이터가 없는 호텔이라서 반드시 계단을 이용해야 합니다.

Please note that this hotel has only two floors. 

There is no elevator in this hotel, so you must use the stairs.

 

왠지 ... 체크인할때 호텔 직원이 짐 들어줄까 라고 물어봤는데.. 계단 이용해야하는 줄 모르고 괜찮다고 그랬거든요.  

(혹시라도 팁 챙겨줘야 할까봐서 ㅋㅋ )

그런데 계단이 은근히 가파릅니다.

무거운 캐리어 짐 들고 오르락 내리락 해야할 때 위험할 수 있으니 왠만하면 짐 들어준다 그러면 서비스 받으세요

 

For some reason... when I checked in, the hotel staff asked if I could help them with my luggage... but they said it was okay because they didn't know I had to use the stairs.
(I thought I might have to tip them lol)
But the stairs were actually quite steep.
It can be dangerous to go up and down with heavy carriers, so if possible, offer to help them with your luggage.

 

 

감사하게도, 거실과 방이 널찍한 스위트룸으로 업그레이드 해줬어요!!!

무료 포인트 숙박인데 업그레이드까지 해주다니 감동 ㅜㅜ

계속 IHG 충성고객 할 수 밖에 없습니다.

방은 천장이 높아서 그런지 더 넓은 듯한 느낌이었어요. 

호텔에서 지내는 동안 넓은 공간에 감사하며 지냈습니다. 

 

Thankfully, I was upgraded to a spacious suite with a living room and room!!!
I was touched that they even upgraded me to a free point stay ㅜㅜ
I can't help but continue to be an IHG loyal customer.
The room felt more spacious because of the high ceiling.

I was grateful for the spaciousness of the hotel during my stay.

 

 

침대 옆 깨알 공간을 차지한 사이드 협탁 좀 보세요 ( 센스 대박 )

이용하진 않았지만.. 거실에 엑스트라 베드도 설치해 줬더라구요! 

 

Look at the side table that takes up the space next to the bed (what a great sense)
I didn't use it, but they also installed an extra bed in the living room!

 

 

창밖은 주차장이 보였는데, 솔직히 스위트룸인데 뷰가 좀 아쉽다고 생각했습니다. 

개인적인 생각으로는 이 스위트룸은 업그레이드한 손님을 위한 방 같습니다...

내가 만약 내돈주고 이런 뷰의 스위트룸은 예약하고 싶지 않았을 거에요. 

 

The parking lot was visible outside the window, but honestly, I thought the view was a bit disappointing for a suite.
Personally, I think this suite is a room for upgraded guests...
If I had paid my own money, I wouldn't have booked a suite with this view.

 

 

참고로 호텔 구조를 보니까 홀수방은 바깥쪽이고, 짝수방이 안쪽이라 정원이 보이는 구조더라구요. 

개인적으로 이 호텔은 '1층 정원뷰' 방이 좋은 것 같애요. 

 

By the way, looking at the hotel structure, the odd numbered rooms are on the outside and the even numbered rooms are on the inside, so you can see the garden.
Personally, I think the '1st floor garden view' rooms are good at this hotel.

 

 

방안에 전자레인지, 커피포트, 냉장고 있었고 다양한 차와 커피, 핫초코 파우더가 있었습니다. 

객실에 전자레인지가 있어서 너무 편합니다. 

넓은 옷장안에 헤어드라이기 있는데 참고로 슬리퍼는 없으니 챙기세요. 

 

There was a microwave, coffee pot, and refrigerator in the room, and there were various teas, coffees, and hot chocolate powders. It's so convenient that there's a microwave in the room.
There was a hair dryer in the large closet, but please bring slippers as there are no slippers.

 

 

욕조있는 화장실 시설도 깔끔했구요.

호텔 어메니티도 필요한 것 다 있었습니다. 

 

The bathroom facilities with bathtub were also clean.
The hotel amenities were all I needed.

 

 

체크인할때 준 음료쿠폰을 사용하러 1층 바에 갔어요. 

맥주, 주스, 라떼를 주문했습니다. 

바 옆에 자판기가 있어서 맥주와 함께 먹을 과자를 구입할 수 있었어요. 

 

I went to the bar on the first floor to use the drink coupon I got when I checked in.
I ordered beer, juice, and latte.
There was a vending machine next to the bar, so I could buy snacks to eat with my beer.

 

 

호텔 전체적으로 대가족 투숙객이 많고 밝고 활기찬 분위기라 좋았습니다. 

특히 좋았던 건 아이들 놀거리가 있었다는 것에요. 

레고, 책, 퍼즐이 있어서 부모가 한잔할 때 아이가 심심해 하지 않아서 좋았습니다. 

 

The hotel as a whole had a lot of large families staying there and the atmosphere was bright and lively, which was nice.
What was especially nice was that there were things for children to play with.
There were Legos, books, and puzzles, so it was nice that the children didn't get bored while the parents had a drink.

 

 

저녁에는 뉴질랜드에서만 먹을 수 있는 키위버거를 먹었어요 (맥도날드)

우버이츠로 시켜 먹었고 호텔로비로 배달 해 줍니다. 

룸서비스 키즈 메뉴로 볶음밥을 주문해 먹었는데, 키즈 메뉴인데도 양이 푸짐해서 마음에 들었어요.

참고로 우버이츠로 맥도날드 햄버거 시켜먹는 것보다 룸서비스로 식사 해결하는게 더 저렴했습니다.

룸서비스 주문할 때, 물 좀 가져다 달라고 했더니 저렇게 큰 유리병으로 물을 가져다 줬습니다. 

덕분에 물 구입 안 하고 호텔에서 지내는 동안 잘 마셨습니다. 

 

For dinner, I ate a Kiwi Burger that is only available in New Zealand (McDonald's).
I ordered it through Uber Eats and they delivered it to the hotel lobby.
I ordered fried rice from the room service kids menu, and I liked it because the portion was generous even though it was a kids menu.
By the way, it was cheaper to eat through room service than to order a McDonald's hamburger through Uber Eats.
When I ordered room service, I asked for some water, and they brought me a large glass bottle of water.
Thanks to that, I didn't have to buy water and drank a lot while staying at the hotel.

 

 

다음날, 조식 포함이라 아침 먹으러 갔어요.

구글 리뷰 보니까 뷔페 맛없다고 하던데... 제가 한번 먹어보겠습니다. 

 

The next day, I went to eat breakfast since it was included.
I saw a Google review saying the buffet was not tasty... I'll try it.

 

 

우선 신선한 제철 과일, 샐러드, 치즈, 견과류 토핑, 요거트 가 있었구요. 

First of all, there was fresh seasonal fruit, salad, cheese, nut toppings, and yogurt.

 

 

 

핫디시로는 팬케이크, 해시브라운, 삶은 달걀, 베이컨, 소시지, 스파게티, 콩,버섯, 토마토, 스크램블이 있습니다. 

Hot dishes include pancakes, hash browns, boiled eggs, bacon, sausage, spaghetti, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes and scrambled eggs.

 

 

그밖에 미소국, 주스, 커피머신, 각종 빵을 먹을 수 있어요. 

주스는 오렌지, 사과, 파인애플 3 종류 였습니다. 

 

In addition, you can eat smiles, juice, coffee machine, and various breads.
There were three types of juice: orange, apple, and pineapple.

 

 

원하는대로 먹을 수 있는 계란요리 서비스가 훌륭했어요. 

오믈렛, 에그베네딕트, 계란 후라이를 주문했는데 특히 에그베네딕트 수란이 제대로 였습니다. 

 

The all-you-can-eat egg service was great.
I ordered an omelet, eggs benedict, and fried eggs, and the eggs benedict poached eggs were especially good.

 

 

 

뉴질랜드 왔으니까 키위는 꼭 먹어야겠죠 ㅎㅎ 키위와 과일들이 특히 포실하면서 달고 맛있더라구요. 

아쉬운점은 ... 미소국이 맛이 정말 이상했어요.

물을 너무 많이 넣어서 맹탕이라고 할까요...;; 아무튼 미소국을 안 먹어본 사람이 만든 느낌이었습니다.

게다가 미소국은 동양인이 주로 밥과 함께 식사할 때 먹는데, 미소국과 같이 먹을만한 음식이 없었어요. 

그리고 토마토 스파게티는 왠만하면 맛있잖아요? 먹어보니 스파게티 케챱맛이 너무 강하고 간이 안 되어 있더라구요.

이 두가지만 개선된다면 나머지는 훌륭했어요.

 

Since I came to New Zealand, I had to eat kiwi. The kiwi and fruits were especially sweet and delicious.
The only regret is... the miso soup tasted really weird.
I put in too much water, so it was like a mess...;; Anyway, it felt like it was made by someone who had never eaten miso soup.
Also, miso soup is usually eaten with rice by Asians, but there was no food to eat with miso soup.
And tomato spaghetti is usually delicious, right? When I tried it, the spaghetti ketchup tasted too strong and it wasn't seasoned well.
If these two things could be improved, the rest would have been great.
