[홀리데이인 익스프레스 시드니 에어포트] 숙소비 10만원 아끼는 곳, 시드니 불꽃놀이 후기

이번에는 눈사람호텔리뷰가 시드니 다녀와서 이용했던 호텔에 대해서 포스팅 합니다.
그 중 첫번째 숙소는 홀리데이인 익스프레스 시드니 에어포트 호텔이에요.

This time, Snowman Hotel Review visited and stayed at a hotel in Sydney, and the first accommodation is the Holiday Inn Express Sydney Airport Hotel.

'홀리데이인 익스프레스 시드니 에어포트 호텔' 위치는 시드니 마스콧 역 근처에 있어요.
마스콧 역에서 꽤 걸어야 했어요. 버스로 3정거장 거리 정도?!
역에서 바로 나오면 보이는 '홀리데이인 시드니 에어포트 호텔'과 헷갈리기 쉬운데 제가 이용했던 호텔은 "익스프레스" 글씨가 하나 더 있어요.
가격은 그 호텔과 비교했을 때 10만원 정도 더 저렴하더라구요.
거리가 먼 만큼 10만원 아낀다는 마음으로 산책하듯이 걸어가면 만날 수 있는 곳이었어요.
나름 시드니공항 근처 가성비 호텔이에요. 

The location of the Holiday Inn Express Sydney Airport Hotel is near Sydney's Mascot station. It was quite a walk from Mascot station, maybe about three bus stops away?! It's easy to confuse with the Holiday Inn Sydney Airport Hotel that you see right when you come out of the station, but the hotel I stayed at has an extra 'Express' in its name. The price was about 100,000 won cheaper compared to that hotel. As it was a bit of a distance, I felt like I was saving 100,000 won by walking there like taking a leisurely stroll. It's a reasonably priced hotel near Sydney Airport.
 

 
공항 근처 호텔이라서 그런지, 입구에 들어서니 경비행기 프로펠러를 벽에 장식해놨어요.
체크인 카운터는 엘리베이터 타고 레벨1 으로 올라가면 됩니다. 한국 기준으로는 2층이네요..
호주는 1층을 0층으로 표시하고 2층부터 1층이라 불러요.

Since it's a hotel near the airport, as soon as you enter, you'll notice propellers from old airplanes decorating the walls. To check in, you need to take the elevator up to Level 1. In Korean standards, it would be the 2nd floor. In Australia, they label the ground floor as 0 and call the floor above that the 1st floor.
 

호텔 체크인 카운터 왔는데 캐쥬얼한 느낌이고 뭔가 카페처럼 생겼어요.
로비 한가운데 바 테이블이 있고 여기서 체크인을 해 줍니다. 그리고 바로 옆에는 아침 조식 먹는 공간이에요.

 
The hotel check-in counter has a casual vibe and looks somewhat like a café.
In the middle of the lobby, there is a bar table where you can check in. Right next to it is the breakfast area where you can enjoy your morning meal.

 

 
방으로 들어왔어요. 솔직히 공간은 넓지 않아요.
이 호텔이 지어진지 얼마 안되어 가지고 전체적으로 깨끗한 편이었어요.

I've entered the room. To be honest, the space isn't very large. This hotel seems to be relatively new, so overall, it's quite clean.
 

방안에 미니냉장고 있고 열어보니 안에 크림이 들어있었어요. 준비된 커피나 차를 마실 수 있어요.
하지만 방 안에 무료 물서비스가 없어요.

There is a mini-fridge in the room, and when I opened it, there was cream inside. You can also enjoy complimentary coffee or tea. However, there isn't complimentary water service in the room.
 

화장실 시설 컨디션이 깔끔 그자체로 괜찮아 보였어요.
다만 칫솔이나 치약은 챙겨와야해요.

The bathroom facilities looked clean and well-maintained. However, you need to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste as they are not provided.
 

 
한가지 안 좋은 점은 샤워실에서 샤워할 때 실루엣이 다 보여요.
가족끼리는 상관 없겠지만 다른 여행객들과 방 공유할 때 고민 좀 해보셔야 할 듯 ㅋㅋ
가리는 블라인드 같은거 없이 그냥.. 다 보여요

One downside is that when you shower in the shower room, your silhouette is completely visible. It might not be a problem for families, but when sharing the room with other travelers, you might need to consider it. There are no blinds or anything to cover up; everything is just fully visible.

 

 

 
이부분은 좋은 아이디어 인거 같은데, 문 하나로 열고 닫을 때 두가지 기능을 해요.
샤워실 문이 되었다가 화장실 문이 되기도 해요.
좁은 공간 활용을 잘 한 듯..
 
This part seems like a good idea! The door serves two functions when opening and closing it. It can be both a shower door and a bathroom door. It seems like they've utilized the limited space well.

 
보통 침대 사이에는 협탁이 있는데 여기는 1인용 쇼파를 껴 놓았어요.
여기는 화장실 문도 그렇고 1인용 쇼파도 ㅋㅋ무슨 테트리스 하듯이 공간과 구조를 잘 끼워 놓음

Usually, there's a bedside table between beds, but here, they've placed a single-seat sofa. It's like playing Tetris, fitting the space and structure of both the bathroom door and the single-seat sofa so well.
 

 
제일 높은 층 8층 받았는데 저기 멀리서 시드니 불꽃놀이도 볼 수 있어요.
시드니 불꽃놀이 나가서 직접 봤는데, 이 방 안에서도 작게나마 보이긴 보입니다.

I was given the highest floor, the 8th floor, and from there, you can see the Sydney fireworks in the distance. Even though I went outside to see the Sydney fireworks in person, you can still catch a glimpse of them from inside the room, albeit faintly.
 

시드니 불꽃놀이 가까이서 직접 보고 싶어서 '더 락스' 로 갔어요. 사람이 정말 많았어요.
'시드니 새해전야제 불꽃놀이'가 정말 유명하잖아요.
불꽃놀이 일정은 시즌에 따라 날씨, 요일에 따라 달라지므로 불꽃놀이 가기 전 인터넷으로 확인 필수에요.
저는 호텔 카운터 직원에게 미리 물어보고 갔어요. 
보통 8시 30분 혹은 9시에 불꽃놀이가 시작해요.
저는 9시 시작하는 불꽃놀이 보러 갔는데 4시부터 가 있었어요.
5시간을 기다렸는데 강바람이라서 그런지 여름 날씨에도 엄청 추워요ㅡ 긴팔 꼭 챙겨가야 해요ㅡ

I went to "The Rocks" to see the Sydney fireworks up close because I really wanted to see them in person. There were a lot of people there. The "Sydney New Year's Eve fireworks" are really famous, you know. The schedule for the fireworks varies depending on the season, weather, and day of the week, so it's essential to check online before going.

I asked the hotel counter staff beforehand. Usually, the fireworks start around 8:30 or 9:00. However, when I went to see the fireworks starting at 9:00, they had already started at 4:00. I waited for 5 hours, and it was incredibly cold despite the summer weather, probably due to the strong wind. Make sure to bring long-sleeved clothes with you.

 

 

오랜 기다림 끝에 짧게 만나본 화려한 불꽃놀이.
시드니 오페라하우스 배경으로 불꽃놀이 감상하고 싶었는데 좋은 자리는 사람들이 미리 앉아있어서 ㅋㅋ 나무로 가려진.. 코끝만 살짝 보이는 오페라하우스 불꽃놀이 감상했어요.
그리고 집으로 돌아올 때가 더 헬이에요. 완전 복잡 그 자체였답니다. ㅋㅋ
방에 도착했더니 창문에서 저 멀리 12시에 시작한 불꽃놀이 보이긴 하더라구요.
 

After a long wait, I finally got to see the brief but spectacular fireworks display. I wanted to watch the fireworks against the backdrop of the Sydney Opera House, but all the good spots were already taken by people, so I ended up watching the fireworks with just a glimpse of the tip of the Opera House peeking through the trees.

And getting back home was even more chaotic. It was just complete madness! 😂

When I got back to my room, I could see the fireworks that started at midnight in the distance from the window.

 

 

 
그 다음 날 아침..무료 조식 먹으러 내려왔어요.
모든 투숙객에게 무료라서 방 번호 체크하고 이런거 없었어요.
그냥 자유롭게 마음에 드는 자리에 앉아서 식사 즐기는 분위기였습니다.
 
The next morning, I went downstairs to have the complimentary breakfast. It was free for all guests, so there was no need to check room numbers or anything like that. It was a relaxed atmosphere where you could just sit wherever you liked and enjoy your meal.
 

 
조식 메뉴는 다양하진 않았지만 만족스러운 식사였어요.
스크램블 에그, 베이컨, 해시브라운, 서양배, 토스트, 과일, 시리얼, 요거트, 주스, 머핀 등이 있었어요.
'홀리데이인 달링하버' 호텔도 이용해 봤는데, 정말 메뉴가 완전 똑같더라고요.
한국에서 잘 볼 수 없는 서양배를 깍아서 먹어봤는데 잘 익어 부드럽고 달콤한 아주 맛있었어요.

The breakfast menu wasn't very diverse, but it was a satisfying meal. They had scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, Western pears, toast, fruits, cereal, yogurt, juice, muffins, and more. I also tried the 'Holiday Inn Darling Harbour' hotel, and the menu was exactly the same. I tried cutting and eating the Western pears, which you don't often see in Korea, and they were perfectly ripe, soft, sweet, and delicious.

 

 

 
참고로 지상층 호텔 입구 옆에는 셀프 짐 보관 서비스가 있어요.
시드니 여행 마지막 일정을 이곳에서 지내면, 비행기 출발시간이 아침 일찍일때 새벽에 일어나지 않아도 되서 좋아보였어요.
 
By the way, next to the ground floor hotel entrance, there is a self-service luggage storage service. If you spend your last day of the trip here in Sydney, it seems convenient as you won't have to wake up in the early morning if your flight departure time is early in the morning.
