[더 플라자] 호텔 케이크 솔직 후기, 홈플러스 케이크와 비교, 더 플라자 블랑제리 vs 홈플러스 몽블랑제

오늘은 '더플라자 호텔 케이크'가 집으로 배송 되는 서비스가 있길래.. 어떤지 한번 먹어봤어요. 

 

Hello, this is Snowman Hotel Review.

Today, there was a service for 'The Plaza Hotel cake' to be delivered to my house, so I decided to try it out.

 

 

 

 

블랑제리 더플라자 티라미수는 냉동케이크이기 때문에 소비기한이 길어요.
이 베이커리는 보라색 색감을 컨셉으로 하나 봅니다. 

처음 받아보았을 때 케이크 상자가 너무 휑하니.. 보라색 리본이라도 장식해주면 더 고급스러운 느낌이 났을 것 같습니다.

The Blanc Jellery The Plaza Tiramisu is a frozen cake, so it has a long shelf life.

This bakery seems to have a purple color concept.

When I first received it, the cake box was too plain... Even just adding a purple ribbon would have made it feel more luxurious.

 

 

열어보니 냉동상태로 배송되어서 케이크 위에 살얼음이 있는 상태였어요.
먹을때는 3-4시간 정도 해동 후 먹으면 된다고 합니다.

Upon opening, it was delivered frozen with frost on the cake.

It's recommended to thaw for 3-4 hours before consuming.

 

케이크 상자 안 구성품은 촛불, 칼, 성냥, 안내지가 들어있었어요.
맨 위에 덮여있는 종이가 쇼핑백인줄 알았는데 아무 것도 아니었습니다. 
우리 모두는 '호텔 케이크'에 대한 고급스러운 기대감이 좀 있잖아요?

그런데 구성품 보니 살짝 아쉬웠습니다. 

The contents of the cake box included candles, a knife, matches, and an instruction sheet.

At first, I thought the paper covering the top was a shopping bag, but it turned out to be nothing.

You know, there's a certain expectation of luxury associated with a "hotel cake," right?

However, I was slightly disappointed when I saw the contents.

'더플라자 호텔 케이크'와 '홈플러스 마트 케이크'를 비교해 보겠습니다!!

더플라자 호텔 케이크는 크기가 좀 더 작고 가격이 38,000원이며 초콜릿만이 올려져 있습니다. 반면에 홈플러스 케이크는 크기가좀 더 크고 가격이 27,900원으로 더 저렴하며 초콜릿 뿐만 아니라 요즘 비싼 과일까지 올려져 있습니다.

 이렇게 비교해보니, 더플라자 호텔 케이크는 가격대비 가성비가 좀 떨어지는 것 같습니다.

Let's compare 'The Plaza Hotel Cake' and 'Homeplus Mart Cake'!!

The Plaza Hotel Cake is a bit smaller in size and priced at 38,000 won, with only chocolate toppings. On the other hand, the Homeplus Cake is slightly larger, priced at 27,900 won, and it comes with not only chocolate but also expensive fruits.

Comparing them like this, it seems that The Plaza Hotel Cake doesn't offer as much value for the price.

저는 케이크 교환권으로 선택했습니다.

 

As a Homeplus VIP member, you have the option to choose among a cake exchange voucher, a Häagen-Dazs exchange voucher, or a 12% discount coupon. I chose the cake exchange voucher.

 

 

홈플러스 무료 생일케이크는 몽블랑제에서 받아 볼 수 있는데요. 심지어 전시 된 케이크 중에서 가장 비싼걸로 줍니다.

티라미수(27900원), 과일 생크림케이크(27900원) , 치즈케이크(26900원) 중에서 고를 수 있습니다.
치즈케이크보다 티라미수, 과일 생크림케이크가 천원 더 비싸네요. 

이왕이면 치즈케이크보다 천원이라도 비싼 케이크 둘 중에서 선택했어요 ㅎㅎ

 

You can receive a free birthday cake from Homeplus, and interestingly, they offer the most expensive cake among those displayed.

You can choose between Tiramisu (27,900 won), Fruit Cream Cake (27,900 won), and Cheesecake (26,900 won). Interestingly, Tiramisu and Fruit Cream Cake are both one thousand won more expensive than the Cheesecake.

Since it's free anyway, I opted for one of the cakes that are even a thousand won more expensive than the Cheesecake.

 

 

더플라자 티라미수는 초콜릿 올라간 것 빼고는 아무것도 없는 심플한 디자인이에요.
이런 심플한 케이크 디자인은 요새 유행하는 토퍼를 구매해서 원하는대로 자유롭게 꾸밀 수 있는 장점이 있습니다. 

The Plaza Tiramisu features a simple design with only chocolate toppings, making it quite minimalist.

Such a simple cake design has the advantage of being able to be customized with toppers, which is a trend nowadays.

 

 

맛은 어떨까요? 한번 먹어보겠습니다.
오...케이크 맛이 진득하니 풍부하고 맛있었어요.

솔직히 처음 받아봤을 때 구성품과 외관을 보고 좀 별로라고 생각했는데, 맛은 진짜 맛있네요. 

 

What about the taste? Let me try it.

Oh... the cake tasted rich and delicious, with a dense texture.

Honestly, when I first received it, I thought it didn't look that great based on the components and appearance, but the taste is really good.

 

 

더플라자 블랑제리 매장이 호텔 외부 지하상가에 위치해 있대요.

(잉??? 호텔 베이커리라서 로비에 매장이 있을 줄 알았는데..? )

그래서 시청역 베이커리 맛집 느낌이 더 강합니다.

호텔 베이커리 라고 하면 그에 기대하는 고급스러운 이미지가 있잖아요?
기대하는 공간 이미지라던가... 케이크 포장 여부 등등.. 이 부분에서 아쉬운 감정이 느껴졌어요.

저의 총평은요?!
호텔 베이커리의 고급진 느낌은 아니다. 내가 먹기에는 맛있지만 선물용으로는 쫌.. 애매하다..
왜냐면 쇼핑백이나 리본 장식도 없고 매장 분위기 역시 호텔 베이커리의 고급스러움과는 거리가 있다고 느꼈기 때문이에요.

 

The Plaza Blanc Jellery store is located in the underground shopping area outside the hotel.

(Huh??? I thought it was a hotel bakery, so I expected the store to be in the lobby...?)

So it feels more like a City Hall Station bakery hotspot.

When you think of a hotel bakery, you have a certain expectation of luxury, right?

Expectations about the ambiance of the space, whether they offer cake packaging, and so on... In these aspects, I felt a bit disappointed.

 

My overall impression?

It doesn't quite give off the luxurious vibe of a hotel bakery.

It's tasty for personal consumption, but as a gift... it's a bit... mediocre.

Because there are no shopping bags or ribbon decorations, and the atmosphere of the store itself doesn't quite match the luxury of a hotel bakery.
