[융프라우 로지 스위스 마운틴 호텔] 모든 단점을 뛰어넘는 그린델발트 가성비 호텔 후기

오늘은 스위스여행 갔을 때 그린델발트 가성비 호텔 이용한 경험을 기록합니다.
호텔명은 '융프라우 로지 스위스 마운틴 호텔'입니다.

 

Snowman Hotel review.
Today, I'm documenting my experience staying at a cost-effective hotel in Grindelwald during my trip to Switzerland.

The hotel's name is "Jungfrau Lodge Swiss Mountain Hotel."

 

 

그린델발트 기차역에 내려보니까 언덕 위로 올라갈수록 아이거북벽이 보이는 숙소들이고,  언덕 아래로 내려갈수록 푸른 잔디밭에 스위스 마을뷰가 보이는 숙소들이에요.

저는 푸른 잔디밭에 스위스마을이 보이는 뷰를 원해서 '융프라우 로지 스위스 마운틴 호텔'을 예약했습니다.
기차역에 내려서 언덕 아래로 막 내려가다 보면 호텔이 나옵니다.

내려갈때는 좋은데 다시 기차역으로 돌아가려면 여행가방 끌고 긴 언덕을 올라가야 합니다..
버스 타는 방법도 있는데 버스가 거의 40-50분 만에 한대 와서 그 버스 기다리느라 기차 놓칠까봐 그냥 다 걸어올라가더군요.

When I got off at Grindelwald train station, I noticed that as you go up the hill, you can see views of the Eiger mountain from the accommodations, while descending down the hill reveals Swiss village views against lush green meadows.

I specifically chose the "Jungfrau Lodge Swiss Mountain Hotel" because I wanted a view of the Swiss village against the backdrop of green meadows. Upon getting off the train station and descending down the hill, you'll come across the hotel.

Descending was pleasant, but returning to the train station meant hauling my travel bags up the long hill. Although there's an option to take the bus, it only comes every 40-50 minutes, so I decided to walk back up rather than risk missing my train while waiting for the bus.

 

 

이미 가성비 좋은 호텔로 입소문이 났는지 한국 사람, 동양인이 많았어요.
기차역에 내려서 다같이 나랑 같은 방향으로 걸어 가길래,  그 사람들... 알고보니 모두 나랑 다 같은 호텔로 들어갑니다.
여기서 팁!! 호텔 로비에 빨리 먼저 들어가세요.
저는 호텔리뷰 컨텐츠를 위해 건물외부 사진 찍다가 천천히 들어갔는데 체크인 엄청 오래 걸립니다.

보통 호텔 체크인과는 다릅니다. 카운터에 직원 한명이 서 있는데, 체크인하는 앞 사람과 담소 나누고 호텔에 대해서 설명해주고 태블릿으로 설문조사 합니다. 뒤에 사람들 3-4팀 줄 서 있는거 아랑곳 하지 않고 엄청 천천히 진행 해요.
체크인 할때 너무 오래 기다려서 진 빠졌어요.

It seems like the hotel has already gained a reputation for being a great value, as there were many Korean and other Asian travelers when I arrived. We all walked in the same direction from the train station, only to find out that we were headed to the same hotel.

Here's a tip! Make sure to enter the hotel lobby quickly. I was taking exterior photos for my hotel review content and entered slowly, only to find out that the check-in process takes a long time.

The check-in process here is different from typical hotel check-ins. There's only one staff member at the counter who not only checks you in but also engages in casual conversations with the person in front of you, explains about the hotel, and conducts a survey on a tablet. They take their time, not paying much attention to the 3-4 groups of people waiting in line behind. I ended up getting frustrated because of the long wait during check-in.

 

호텔 로비는 작고 아늑한 오래된 산장 느낌 납니다.

 

The hotel lobby exudes a cozy and intimate atmosphere reminiscent of an old mountain lodge.

 

 

이 호텔의 최대 단점!!! 엘리베이터가 없어요...
엘리베이터 없는 숙소를 처음 이용해 보는데;; 무거운 여행용 캐리어를 들고 계단을 올라갑니다.

하필이면 예약한 방이 가장 꼭대기층인 3층 ㅎ ㄷ ㄷ 헉헉헉헉

The biggest drawback of this hotel!!! There's no elevator... It's my first time staying at a place without an elevator, and I had to carry my heavy luggage up the stairs.

To make matters worse, my reserved room happened to be on the top floor, the 3rd floor. Whew, huffing and puffing all the way up!

 

 

제일 꼭대기층 도착하니까 세모지붕 다락방 같은 곳이 나옵니다.
움직임이 없으면 복도 불이 꺼지는 시스템이라 엄청 무서워요.

막 손 흔들어 제껴서 복도 조명 켜야해요.

 

Arriving at the top floor, it feels like entering an attic with a triangular roof.

It's quite eerie because there's a system where the corridor lights turn off if there's no movement. So, if you stand still, the corridor lights go off, which can be quite unsettling.

I found myself waving my hand frantically to keep the corridor lights on.

 

 

방에 들어가오니 침대 4개와 테라스가 있는 방이었습니다. 방 이름은 쿼드러플룸이고 하룻밤에 30만원대에 이용할 수 있었어요. 이 정도 가격이면 그린델발트에서 가성비 좋은 호텔이 맞네요. 왜냐면 바로 옆에 있는 벨베데레 호텔은 이 보다 훨씬 비싸거든요. (같은 조건으로 1박에 50-60만원대 였어요)

Upon entering the room, I found it equipped with four beds and a terrace. The room was named "Quadruple Room" and was available for around 300,000 KRW per night. With this price range, it seems like a great value hotel in Grindelwald. Especially when compared to the nearby Belvedere Hotel, which is much more expensive. (It was around 500,000-600,000 KRW per night for similar conditions.)

 

 

방바닥에 여행용 가방 놓으면 복잡하니까 여기에 짐 정리하면 좋아요.

 

It's a good idea to organize your luggage here instead of leaving it on the floor, as it can get cluttered.

 

 

화장실은 오래된 느낌이었어요. 하지만  화장실에 욕조 있고 헤어드라이기가 있었습니다!!
스위스 여행 중, 방 안에 헤어드라이기 없는 경우가 몇번 있어서 이것부터 확인하게 되네요. 

( 경험상 루체른 '이비스 호텔'과 인터라켄 '호텔하더 미네르바'에서 헤어 드라이기가 없었음.. ) 

객실 내 헤어드라이기는 기본이라 생각하는데.. 헐.... 

 

The bathroom had an old-fashioned vibe to it. However, it was equipped with a bathtub and a hairdryer! During my travels in Switzerland, there were a few occasions where hotel rooms didn't have hairdryers, so I've learned to check for this first.

I always assumed that a hairdryer in the room was a basic amenity, but wow...

(At the Lucerne Ibis Hotel and the Hotel Harder Minerva in Interlaken, there were no hairdryers available...)

 

 

테라스 나가봤는데 우리가 타고 온 기차가 보이네요.

쿼드러플룸은 방에서 보이는 정면 뷰가 이렇게 생겼어요.

하지만 고개를 한껏 돌리면~ 이런 스위스 마을 풍경이 보입니다. 그린델발트 마을이 너무 예쁩니다.
이 장면이 호텔 방에서 바라볼 때 보였으면 더 좋았을텐데... 아쉽지만 만족스러웠어요.
융프라우 로지 스위스 마운틴 호텔 이용해보니 솔직히 단점이 많은데, 스위스 마을 뷰가 이 모든 단점을 뛰어넘어요.

이 뷰 하나만으로도 만족했습니다.
주의할 것은 !! 이 호텔에 다른 사람이 남긴 후기보니까, 꽉 막힌 벽뷰 방을 받았다고 해서 충격받았었어요.

잘 알아보고 예약하세요. 이 호텔에서 뷰 안 좋으면 굳이 여기 올 이유가 없다고 생각합니다.

However, when you turn your head, you'll see such a picturesque Swiss village landscape. Grindelwald village is truly beautiful.

It would have been even better if this scene was visible from the hotel room... Nevertheless, I was satisfied.

Although I experienced many shortcomings during my stay at the Jungfrau Lodge Swiss Mountain Hotel, the Swiss village view surpasses all of them.

I was content with just this view.

One thing to note!! I was shocked to see reviews from other guests who ended up with rooms facing a solid wall.

Make sure to check carefully before booking. If you don't get a good view at this hotel, I don't think there's a reason to come here.

 

1층 탕비실같은 곳에 전자 커피포트가 있어서 뜨거운물을 사용할 수 있어요.  참고로 전자레인지는 없습니다.
라면은 끓여먹을 수 있지만 햇반은 먹을 수 없었어요.
그리고 여기는 호텔 직원이 상주하는 숙소가 아니에요.
방안 안내문에는 호텔직원이 10시까지 근무하다고 해요.
그런데 안내문에 적힌 시간보다 호텔직원이 한시간 먼저 퇴근해 버려서 아무리 전화해도 연결이 안되고 1층 내려가보니까 로비 불이 다 꺼져 있었어요.

그래서 도움 필요한데 도움도 못 받고 참 황당했어요. 왜 안내문에 적힌 시간보다 더 빨리 퇴근했는지..

On the first floor, there's a communal area resembling a public bathhouse where you can find an electric kettle to use for hot water. Just a heads-up, there's no microwave available. You can make instant noodles, but you won't be able to heat up pre-cooked rice.

Additionally, this isn't a hotel with staff available at all times. According to the room guide, hotel staff are supposed to be on duty until 10 PM. However, on one occasion, the staff left an hour earlier than the time indicated in the guide. Consequently, despite trying to call for assistance, I couldn't reach anyone, and when I went downstairs to the first floor, I found that the lobby lights were all turned off.

It was quite bewildering not to receive any assistance when needed. I wonder why the staff left earlier than the time specified in the guide...

 

 

다음날 그린델발트의 화창한 5월 풍경입니다. 
전에도 3월에 그린델발트를 방문했었는데, 그때와는 확연히 다른 풍경이었어요. 

이전에 방문한 사진을 비교해 보니, 3월보다 5월 스위스가 훨씬 더 초록초록한 모습이에요.

Here's the sunny May landscape of Grindelwald. I had visited Grindelwald before in March, and the difference in scenery was striking.

Comparing the photos from my previous visit, Switzerland in May looked much greener than in March.

 

 

숙소 바로 옆에는 벨베데레 호텔이 있어서 산책 겸 구경왔어요.

여기는 투숙객이 아니어도 입장료 내 수영장을 이용할 수 있다고 합니다.

It seems like there's the Bellevue Hotel right next to the accommodation, so I took a stroll to have a look around.

I heard that even non-guests can pay an entrance fee and use the swimming pool here.
