[인터라켄 호텔하더미네르바] 스위스 여행 20만원대 호텔 솔직후기, 예약한 방이 없다 그래서 직원과 언쟁한 사연

안녕하세요. 눈사람호텔리뷰입니다.
여행으로 스위스에 벌써 4번재 방문입니다.
전세계를 돌아다녀봐도 개인적으로 스위스가 제일 좋은 거 같애요.
오늘은 인터라켄에 숙소를 예약했습니다.
인터라켄 숙소 검색해보니 가격대가 좀 높더라구요.
그나마 저렴한 편인 1박에 20만원대 호텔하더미네르바 이용한 경험을 기록합니다.
호텔하더미네르바 위치는 인터라켄 서편에 위치해 있어요.

This is my fourth visit to Switzerland on my travels. Even though I've traveled all over the world, I personally think Switzerland is the best.

Today, I booked accommodation in Interlaken. While searching for accommodations in Interlaken, I found the prices to be quite high. Among the relatively affordable options, I chose Hotel Harder Minerva, which costs around 200,000 KRW per night.

Hotel Harder Minerva is located on the western side of Interlaken.

 

 

호텔하더미네르바는 인터라켄 (서편) 기차역에 내려서 좀 걸어가면 나옵니다.

가깝지도 않고 멀지도 않은.. 걷기 딱 괜찮은 정도였어요.
안개 낀 인터라켄 모습은 이렇습니다.
앞에 다 산인데 하나도 안 보이네요.
빨간글씨의 미네르바 호텔 간판을 발견하고 반가운 마음에 안으로 들어갑니다.

Hotel Harder Minerva is reachable by walking from the Interlaken West train station.

It's neither too close nor too far—just the right distance for a pleasant walk. This is how foggy Interlaken looks. There are mountains all around, but you can't see them at all in this weather. I found the red-lettered Minerva Hotel sign and went inside.

 

 

현관문이... 너무 올드한데??

여기 맞아??? (당황)

The front door looks... quite old.

Am I at the right place? (feeling a bit uneasy)

 

 

현관문 열자마자 나오는 공간.
자꾸 여기 맞아??;;; 이 말만 반복 ㅋㅋㅋ

 

As soon as I opened the front door, the space inside made me question again and again, "Is this really the place???" (laughing)

 

알고보니 식당 공간이 카운터 겸 리셉션데스크였어요.
상주하는 호텔 직원이 없고 체크인은 3시에요. 
아무도 반겨주는 이 없이, 기다리다 보면 직원이 옵니다. 

 

It turns out the dining area doubles as the hotel counter and reception desk.

There isn't a resident hotel staff, and check-in is at 3 PM.

With no one there to greet you... if you wait, eventually someone will come.

 

 

이 공간에서 여행객 짐도 맡아주는데 그냥 자유롭게 놓고가는 시스템이었어요.
식당 한켠에 쌓여있는 여행객 짐들이 보입니다. 

숙소의 첫인상인 로비를 보고 호텔의 분위기를 결정하잖아요?!

문 열자마자 너무 올드하고 여관스러운 분위기에 조금은 놀랐지만, 아침 조식 먹는 공간이  멋있어서 이때 조금 마음이 놓였습니다. 

In this space, they also take care of travelers' luggage, which you can just leave freely.

I noticed piles of travelers' luggage in a corner of the dining area. The lobby, which gives the first impression of the accommodation, usually sets the tone for the hotel's atmosphere.

When I first entered, I was a bit taken aback by the very old-fashioned and inn-like ambiance. However, the dining area, where breakfast is served, was impressive, which reassured me.

 

 

체크인 하고 방으로 올라갑니다.
호텔에 엘리베이터 있어요!!!

스위스 여행하는 동안 엘리베이터 없는 호텔도 경험해봤기에... 강조해서 써 봅니다.

After checking in, I head up to my room. The hotel has an elevator!!!

Having stayed in hotels in Switzerland without elevators before, I feel this is worth emphasizing.

 

 

룸키를...무슨 엄청 무거운 쇳. 덩. 어. 리. 를 줍니다.  무게가 상당해요.
여행 다닐때 배낭에 준비물이 많아서 안그래도 무거운데... 이 열쇠무게가 은근히 한몫했다고 생각합니다.
왜 이런 무겁고 불편한 열쇠고리를 선택했는지 아직도 의문이에요 ;;;
아이가 여행 중 스위스 소를 보고 인상 깊었는지... 이 쇳덩어리 열쇠고리를 목에 대고 음머~ 음머~ 소 흉내를 내더라구요.

 

They give you a room key that's an incredibly heavy chunk of metal. The weight is significant.

Since my backpack is already heavy with travel essentials, this key added a surprising amount of weight. I still wonder why they chose such a heavy and inconvenient keychain. My child, impressed by the cows seen during our trip in Switzerland, mimicked the cows by putting the heavy keychain around their neck and going "moo~ moo~.

 

들어갈때 열쇠키 돌려서 들어가고, 방 안에서 한번더 열쇠로 돌려서 잠궈야 합니다.
겁나 번거로움;;;  
저는 호텔하더미네르바 3베드룸 예약했습니다. 그런데..

 

To enter, you have to turn the key in the lock, and once inside, you have to lock it again with the key. It’s quite cumbersome.

I reserved a 3-bedroom at Hotel Harder Minerva. However...

 

 

그런데 퀸베드 1, 싱글베드 1 방을 줬어요. 진짜 좁아요......
원. 래. 2 인용 방에 무리하게 싱글베드 하나 더 놓아서 3인실을 만들려고 했는지 더 좁게 느껴졌어요. 
보시면 알겠지만 캐리어 가방을 바닥에 펼치면 발 디딜 곳도 없습니다. 

However, they gave me a room with one queen bed and one single bed. It's really narrow...

It felt even narrower because they tried to squeeze in an extra single bed to make it a 3-person room in what seems to be originally designed for 2 people.

As you can see, there's barely any room to walk once you lay out your suitcase on the floor.

 

화장실 상태도 세상에...  
방을 잘못 받은 것 같아서 당장 내려가서 호텔 직원에게 애기 했어요.

The condition of the bathroom was... beyond words... ;;;;

Feeling like I got the wrong room, I immediately went downstairs to talk to the hotel staff.

 

 

"뭔가 잘못 된거 같다. 내가 예약한 정보에 따르면 3베드룸을 예약했는데 다시한번 확인해 달라 "했더니,
풀 부킹이라 방이 없대요... ;;;;(이게 뭔 ㄱ ㅐ솔?)
내가 막 따지니까 다른 방 보여주겠대요. 거기는 방 사이즈가 좀 더 크다고...

"I feel like something went wrong. According to the reservation I made, I booked a 3-bedroom, so could you please double-check?" I said.

But then they told me they were fully booked... ;;;; (What a disaster?)

When I insisted, they said they could show me another room. Apparently, it's a bit larger in size...

 

그리고 보여준 방입니다.
아까 처음에 보여준 방 보다는 발 디딜 공간이 있었는데 싱글베드 2개 있는 방이었어요.
이때부터 호텔 직원과 10분동안 언쟁이 좀 있었습니다.
미안해야할 호텔 직원이 오히려 저에게 언성 높이며 소리를 지르더라구요?!!!!!
애기가 안 통하는거 같아서 다른 호텔 직원이랑 애기하고, 그 직원이 중재해주면서 다시 방을 알아봐줬어요.
그 호텔직원에게 대충 애기를 들어보니까, 나는 1박을 예약했고  2박이상 예약한 투숙객이 있어서 그사람에게 3베드 방을 주려고 했었나봐요?! 자꾸 저에게 저스트 1 나잇 저스트 1 나잇 이러는데..( 그게 나랑 뭔 상관인지 참...)
아무튼 제가 컴플레인 하니까 저에게 3베드룸을 주었습니다.
그 호텔직원이 자기가 열심히 노력해서 나에게 방을 배정해줬다고 하는데, 저는 정당하게 제 권리를 찾았다 생각하거든요. 전혀 고마울 일이 아님..

And here's the room they showed me.

It had two single beds, and unlike the first room they showed me, there was some space to move around. From this point on, I had a bit of a dispute with the hotel staff for about 10 minutes.

Surprisingly, instead of apologizing, one of the hotel staff raised their voice and yelled at me?! I felt like I couldn't communicate with them, so I talked to another hotel staff member, and with their intervention, we looked into the room situation again.

After briefly discussing with that staff member, it seemed like I had reserved for only one night, and there was another guest who had booked for more than two nights, so they were trying to give them the 3-bedroom. They kept insisting, "Just one night, just one night," to me... (What does that have to do with me, seriously...)

Anyway, after I complained, they finally gave me the 3-bedroom.

That staff member claimed they made an effort to assign me a room, but I felt like I simply asserted my rights. I had nothing to be thankful for.

 

 

그렇게 해서 받은 3베드 룸(클래식 트러플룸) 이에요.
여기.. 제가 원래 예약한 방 맞아요.....드디어 찾은 내 방!!!! 
내가 원래 예약한 방을 이렇게 힘들게 체크인 합니다.
호텔 체크인시 트러블 생겼을 때 팁을 따로 글로 하나 작성해야 겠어요.

Here's the 3-bedroom (Classic Triple Room) I finally received.

This... is the room I originally booked... Finally, I found my room!!!

I went through all this trouble just to check into the room I originally reserved. I think I'll have to write a separate tip on dealing with hotel check-in troubles.

 

 

창문 옆에 나뭇잎이 있어서 예뻤어요.
아이가 그러는데 양쪽으로 문 여는 창문이 예뻤다고 그러네요. 공주가 사는 집 같다고.

It was lovely with leaves by the window.

My child even commented on how beautiful the windows were, opening on both sides. They said it looked like a house where a princess lives.

 

 

 

처음에 받았던 방과 비교해보면~~~

공간 더 넓은건 당연하고. 책상이 생기고. 공기청정기도 생기고.

 

Comparing it to the room I initially received~~~

Of course, it's more spacious. There's a desk now. And they even added an air purifier.

 

 

무엇보다 화장실 퀄리티가 훨씬 좋아졌어요.  더 깨끗하고 심지어 욕조도 생겼습니다.  
참고로 방에 드라이기 없어요. 헤어 드라이기는 리셉션에 말해야 줍니다.

솔직히 숙소에 방마다 헤어 드라이기는 기본이라 생각합니다. 숙소에 헤어드라이기 없는 곳은 처음 경험해보네요. 
호텔에 슬리퍼 없고 올인원 샤워젤 하나만 있습니다. 개인 것 따로 챙겨가세요. 

Above all, the quality of the bathroom has significantly improved. It's much cleaner, and they even added a bathtub.

By the way, there's no hairdryer in the room. You have to ask at the reception for one.

Honestly, I think having a hairdryer in each room is a basic amenity for accommodations. It's the first time I've experienced a place without one. There are no slippers in the hotel room, and they provide only an all-in-one shower gel. Make sure to bring your personal items.

 

 

침구에 벌레 발견!! 창문 열어서 나뭇잎에 놓아주었습니다.
침대에 걸터 앉으면 침대매트가 기울어 져서 엄청 불편했어요. 

왜그런가 봤더니, 침대 프레임보다 침대 매트 사이즈가 더 커서 사이즈가 안 맞더라구요.

 

I found insects in the bedding!! I put them on the leaves by the window.

When I sat on the edge of the bed, the mattress was slanted, making it very uncomfortable.

Upon inspection, I realized that the bed frame and the mattress size didn't match.
